As we head into the holiday season, not only do we get some much-needed downtime, but the industry as a whole also slows down. That said, fans have to stay fed, so we’re here to help. The AP editors have queued up some solid content for the long weekend, and the colder months ahead — a mix of live concerts, documentaries, and podcast interviews with artists you know and love, all available on Veeps (All Access subscriptions are 50% until Dec. 8).

We’ve picked our favorite shows and stories from scene stalwarts like Cartel and the Used or emo icons Jimmy Eat World, Death Cab for Cutie, and Cursive, but for those with heavier tastes, we’ve got a raucous Poppy set, Deafheaven’s new tour doc, and a film that deep dives into the history of metal itself. And that’s not all — find the full list below.

Don’t Go Gentle: A Film About IDLES

Written by Mark Archer, Don’t Go Gentle is a film about finding strength in vulnerability. It journeys through IDLES‘ determination, friendship, and adversity as they fight for a place in a divided socio-political environment, unexpectedly inspiring and unifying an international community along the way.

    Poppy: Live from Anaheim

Join Poppy on the second leg of her “They’re All Around Us” Tour as she performs live from The House of Blues in Anaheim.

Cartel: Chroma 20 Year Anniversary Tour

Come celebrate 20 years of Chroma as Cartel perform the entire album from front to back, live from The Masquerade in their hometown of Atlanta.

Gym Class Heroes: Live from New York

Gym Class Heroes are back — and they’re taking center stage once again. For the first time in over a decade, the genre-bending pioneers return, streaming live from New York City. Whether you’ve been waiting since the 2000s or just discovering their sound, this exclusive livestream puts you front row for Gym Class Heroes’ long-awaited return — no matter where you are in the world.

    Deafheaven: The Vast Sterling Purple

This intimate mini documentary follows Deafheaven as they journey through the quieter corners of America, playing raw, emotional shows far from the usual major city stages. Capturing the band’s vulnerability both on and off the road, the film blends candid moments, reflections on growth and connection, and powerful live performances that showcase Deafheaven’s signature mix of chaos and beauty. More than a tour film, it’s a portrait of a band reconnecting with their audience, themselves, and in the spaces where the noise fades and the music speaks loudest.

    Metal: A Headbanger’s Journey

This 2005 music documentary follows anthropologist Sam Dunn as he explores the enduring subculture of heavy metal. Traveling from the U.K. to the U.S., from Germany to Norway, Dunn tries to find out why heavy metal music has been so stereotyped and dismissed, and yet loved so passionately by its millions of fans. Featured bands include Slipknot and Black Sabbath, as well as lead singers such as Bruce Dickinson and Rob Zombie.

Artist Friendly: Tim Kasher of Cursive

In the latest episode of Artist Friendly, Joel Madden sits down with Nebraska-born Tim Kasher of Cursive to discuss Kasher’s love of directing, the steady growth of the beloved emo band’s near-30-year career, and their new album, Devourer.

Artist Friendly: Bert McCracken of the Used

This fan favorite episode sees Joel Madden in conversation with Bert McCracken, eclectic frontman of Utah’s the Used. Together, they talk about being an outsider kid, the band’s 25-year career, and how McCracken makes peace with tragedy by putting it into his music.

Jimmy Eat World 20th Anniversary of Futures: Live from Phoenix

Join Jimmy Eat World live from their hometown of Phoenix, Arizona, for a special one-night-only performance celebrating the 20th anniversary of Futures.  “Making Futures was one of the most difficult yet rewarding accomplishments in our time as a band,” Jimmy Eat World say. “We are honored that many of you have found something in those songs that you’ve connected with over the years. As a way to show our appreciation, we want to play this album front to back for our hometown fans at The Van Buren.” Only on Veeps, you can now watch the band play the iconic album from front to back, with all of its emotion and nostalgia — right from whichever town you call home.

The Give Up & Transatlanticism 20th Anniversary Tour: Live from Phoenix

Indie-rock titans the Postal Service and Death Cab for Cutie join forces and bring their unprecedented Give Up and Transatlanticism 20th anniversary co-headline tour to the Arizona Financial Theatre. Catch Ben Gibbard, the co-founder of both bands, pull double duty with the Postal Service – comprising Gibbard, Jimmy Tamborello, and Jenny Lewis — as well as with Death Cab for Cutie (alongside Nick Harmer, Dave Depper, Zac Rae, and Jason McGerr), performing each seminal 2003 album in its entirety.

Head to our Veeps page to watch all of these. All Access subscriptions are 50% until Dec. 8
