    Here’s a list of TV shows that aired (or are expected to air) during the 2023-24 season (roughly September 2024 through August 2025) but won’t be back for the 2025-26 season.     9-1-1: Lone Star (FOX)
    This first-responder drama, starring Rob Lowe, follows the firefighters and paramedics who work out of Station 126 in Austin, Texas. It was cancelled after six seasons.

    Acapulco (Apple TV+)
    A bilingual comedy, this series intertwines stories of mogul Maximo Gallardo Ramos in the past and the present. Season four is the end.

    After Midnight (CBS)
    Hosted by Taylor Tomlinson, this late-night comedy panel game show replaced The Late Late Show and was cancelled after two seasons.

    Alert: Missing Persons Unit (FOX)
    A police procedural, this show follows the Philadelphia Police Department’s Missing Persons Unit. It went missing from the schedule after three seasons.

    Alex Wagner Tonight (MSNBC)
    The program was cancelled following a shake-up at the cable channel. Wagner will stay with the network as a senior political analyst.

    American Experience (PBS)
    This long-running U.S. history documentary series was shut down after PBS was defunded and the staff was laid off. The show was on the air for 37 years, produced 380 episodes, and won numerous awards, including 30 Emmys.

    Andrea Mitchell Reports (MSNBC)
    This daily lunchtime series came to a close after 16 years. Mitchell remains NBC News Chief Foreign Affairs correspondent.

    And Just Like That… (HBO Max)
    A sequel series, this show follows three of the Sex and the City ladies as they navigate life in their 50s in New York City. It ran for three seasons.

    Around the Horn (ESPN)
    A sports debate series with a game show flavor, this show debuted in 2002 and comes to a close after more than 4,900 episodes.

    Ayman (MSNBC)
    Ayman Mohyeldin’s weekend show was cancelled during a shake-up at the cable channel, but he is expected to begin hosting another series.

    Based on a True Story (Peacock)
    Starring Kaley Cuoco and Chris Messina, this comedic thriller follows a couple producing a true crime podcast who end up in the middle of a murder investigation. It was dropped after two seasons.

    Billy the Kid (MGM+)
    This Western drama, based on the life of legendary outlaw William H. Bonney, aka Billy the Kid, ends with season three.

    Blue Bloods (CBS)
    After 14 seasons and 293 episodes, the police drama and family dinners came to an end. However, there’s a spin-off on the way. 

    Blue’s Clues & You! (Nickelodeon)
    Led by Josh Dela Cruz, this interactive and educational kids’ show ended with a fifth season of just four episodes. The final installments were released on YouTube in September 2024.

    BMF (Starz)
    This show was inspired by the true story of two brothers who rose from the decaying streets of southwest Detroit in the late 1980s to birth to one of the most influential crime families in the history of America. It came to a close after four seasons.

    The Bondsman (Prime Video)
    In this supernatural comedy, a murdered bounty hunter (Kevin Bacon) is resurrected by the Devil to hunt demons that have escaped Hell. The streamer killed the show after eight episodes.

    Bookie (Max)
    Sebastian Maniscalco stars in this comedy, which follows a bookie as he deals with the legalization of sports betting in Los Angeles. It was cancelled after two seasons.

    Bosch: Legacy (Prime Video)
    This detective sequel series is based on Michael Connelly’s novels and ends with its third season.

    Butterfly (Prime Video)
    A mysterious former US intelligence operative living in hiding in South Korea, has his life blown to pieces when the consequences of an impossible decision from his past come back to haunt him. He finds himself hunted by Rebecca, a deadly young assassin, and Caddis, the sinister spy organization she works for. It wasn’t a hit so it ended after one season.

    Children Ruin Everything (The CW)
    A comedy about the challenges of being a parent, this Canadian series ends with its fourth season.

    Christina on the Coast (HGTV)
    Real estate and flipping expert Christina Hall helps her clients transform their outdated properties into high-end homes in Southern California. It was cancelled after six seasons.

    Clean Slate (Prime Video)
    Laverne Cox and George Wallace star in this comedy series as an estranged woman and father trying to reconnect. It was cancelled after one season.

    The Cleaning Lady (FOX)
    In this crime drama, a female Cambodian doctor (Elodie Yung) travels to the United States to help her sick son and ends up working for the mob. It was cancelled after four seasons.

    Cobra Kai (Netflix)
    A sequel to The Karate Kid film franchise, this martial arts comedy-drama series began on YouTube Red before moving to Netflix. The story came to a close with season six.

    Countdown (Prime Video)
    LAPD detective Mark Meachum is recruited to a secret task force, alongside undercover agents from all branches of law enforcement, to investigate the murder of an officer with the Department of Homeland Security. It was cancelled after one season.

    Cruel Intentions (Prime Video)
    A reboot of the 1999 film of the same name, this drama revolves around a pair of wealthy and manipulative step-siblings who will do anything to maintain their status. It was cancelled after one season of eight episodes.

    Dan Abrams Live (NewsNation)
    After three years, the host decided to end his nightly program but is staying with the cable channel, having signed a new three-year contract in 2023.

    Deal or No Deal Island (NBC)
    With over $200 million at stake, the Deal or No Deal game returned, with a social twist. It lasted for two seasons on the peacock network.

    Doctor Odyssey (ABC)
    From Ryan Murphy, this drama follows a luxury cruise ship doctor (Joshua Jackson) and his team who deal with unique medical crises. Too bad there’s no cure for the cancellation-itus.

    Dungeons & Dragons (Paramount+)
    Plans for this live-action series, based on the role-playing game, were cancelled, but Hasbro plans to shop it elsewhere.

    Duster (HBO Max)
    Created by J.J. Abrams and LaToya Morgan, this 1970s drama follows a getaway driver and a young FBI agent as they take on a notorious crime syndicate. It was dusted after one season.

    E! News (E!)
    The entertainment news series began in 1991 on the cable channel and ran until September 2025. It did take a two-year break during COVID.

    The Equalizer (CBS)
    After five seasons and 74 episodes, the network cancelled this crimefighter reboot starring Queen Latifah.

    FBI: International (CBS)
    This Tuesday night show, which revolves around the work of a team of FBI special agents who investigate crime and terrorism abroad, was cancelled after four seasons.

    FBI: Most Wanted (CBS)
    A procedural drama that follows the FBI’s New York Fugitive Task Force, the network cancelled this series after six seasons.

    The Flipping El Moussas (HGTV)
    In this reality series, newlyweds Tarek and Heather Rae El Moussa are a real estate power couple looking to expand their business and take on bigger and better flips. The cable channel shut it down after two seasons.

    Found (NBC)
    This crime drama, which ran for two seasons, follows crisis manager Gabi Mosely and her team as they work to find missing people who have been ignored or forgotten.

    The Franchise (HBO)
    A satirical series, this scripted series follows the cast and crew as they make a fictional superhero film. The show ran for one season before being cancelled.

    Fubar (Netflix)
    A father (Arnold Schwarzenegger) and daughter (Monica Barbaro) discover that they both secretly work for the CIA and their high-stakes missions get tangled up with awkward family dynamics. The mission lasted for two seasons and 16 total episodes.

    Gold Rush: White Water (Discovery Channel)
    A reality series, this show follows gold miners Fred Hurt and his son Dustin as they return to the wilderness of Haines Borough, Alaska, to seek their fortune. Season nine is the end.

    Good Omens (Prime Video)
    A supernatural comedy starring David Tennant and Michael Sheen, this series was renewed for a third and final season. It was truncated to a 90-minute special.

    Goosebumps (Disney+)
    A horror anthology series inspired by books by R.L. Stine, this show ran for two seasons before being dropped by the streamer.

    The Great North (FOX)
    An animated comedy, this show follows the quirky Tobin family as they make their way in the fictional town of Lone Moose, Alaska. It was left out in the cold after five seasons.

    Grosse Pointe Garden Society (NBC)
    In this mystery drama series, four suburban Michigan garden club members find their lives intertwined by everyday challenges, scandal, mischief, and murder. Very low ratings killed the show after one season.

    The Handmaid’s Tale (Hulu)
    A dystopian series based on the novel by Margaret Atwood, this award-winning drama ends with its sixth season.

    Happy Face (Paramount+)
    This series tells the story of a daughter (Annaleigh Ashford) whose father is the Happy Face Killer. After decades of no contact, the dad forces his way back into his daughter’s life as a potentially innocent man is about to be put to death. It was cancelled after one season.

    Harlem (Prime Video)
    This drama follows four best friends living in Harlem as they balance their personal and professional lives. Season three is the end.

    Inside the NFL (The CW)
    This long-running sports program previewed upcoming football games and ran for 47 seasons, most recently on The CW. It was dropped but may return at some point.

    The Irrational (NBC)
    Jesse L. Martin stars as a behavioral scientist who helps governments, law enforcement, and corporations solve complex issues. This crime drama lasted two seasons.

    Joan (The CW)
    This adaptation of Joan Hannington’s novel, starring Sophie Turner, tells the story of a single mom who becomes a jewel thief. It ran for six episodes and drew low ratings.

    The Katie Phang Show (MSNBC)
    The weekend series was cancelled following a shakeup at the cable channel. The host will shift to become an MSNBC legal correspondent.

    Laid (Peacock)
    In this single-camera comedy, a woman is forced to confront her past when her exes start dying in mysterious and seemingly unrelated ways. She is the only common denominator. It was cancelled after eight episodes.

    Life Below Zero (National Geographic)
    A docuseries, this show takes viewers deep into an Alaskan winter to meet tough, resilient residents as they try to stay one step ahead of storms and man-eating beasts to survive the season. The cable channel reportedly dropped this series and all of its spin-offs.

    Lopez Vs Lopez (NBC)
    A family sitcom starring George Lopez and his daughter, Mayan, this show follows an estranged father and daughter after he moves in with her and her family. It was cancelled after three seasons.

    Married to Real Estate (HGTV)
    Egypt Sherrod and Mike Jackson use their real estate expertise to get clients into the dream neighborhood they never thought they could afford. The hosts revealed the series had been cancelled after four seasons.

    Mid-Century Modern (Hulu)
    A comedy, the series follows three gay best friends of a certain age decide to spend their golden years living together in Palm Springs where the wealthiest one lives with his mother. It was retired after a single season.

    Mo (Netflix)
    Starring Mohammed “Mo” Amer, this comedy-drama series is loosely based on Amer’s life. The story follows a Palestinian refugee descendant living in Houston, Texas, seeking asylum and citizenship in the United States. It ran for two seasons.

    Motorheads (Prime Video)
    Set in a once-thriving rust-belt town, the series follows a group of high school outsiders who form an unlikely friendship over a mutual love of street racing. The series ran out of gas after one season.

    Mythic Quest (Apple TV+)
    This show follows a fictional studio that produces Mythic Quest, a popular video game. It was cancelled after four seasons and 40 episodes.

    Neighbours (Prime Video)
    A long-running Australian soap opera,  this show was cancelled in 2022 but was revived by Prime Video in 2023. It’s now been cancelled by the streamer.

    Night Court (NBC)
    A sequel to the 1980s sitcom of the same name, this show revolves around Judge Harry Stone’s daughter and her crazy courtroom. It was cancelled after three seasons.

    No Good Deed (Netflix)
    In this black comedy, the sale of a couple’s picture-perfect LA home forces them to face painful family secrets while hiding them from prying eyes and cutthroat buyers. It was put on an indefinite pause after one season.

    The Old Man (FX)
    Inspired by Thomas Perry’s novel, this show follows a former CIA operative (Jeff Bridges) who abandoned the agency decades ago and has been living off the grid ever since. It was cancelled after two seasons.

    Olympo (Netflix)
    When a swimmer collapses at a high-performance sports center, Amaia investigates the extreme risks her fellow athletes are taking to feed their ambition. Season one is the end.

    On Call (Prime Video)
    An adrenalized procedural drama that takes viewers along for the ride in Long Beach Police cars, this show was cancelled after one season of eight episodes.

    Outer Banks (Netflix)
    This drama revolves around the poor locals and the wealthy seasonal residents of a small North Carolina town. It ends with season five, but spin-offs are still in the works.

    Poker Face (Peacock)
    Blessed with an extraordinary ability to determine when someone is lying, Charlie Cale (Natasha Lyonne) investigates crimes she encounters on the road. To be honest, the show lasted just two seasons.

    Poppa’s House (CBS)
    Starring Damon Wayans and Damon Wayans Jr., this sitcom revolves around a father and son trying to work things out while living under the same roof. It was cancelled after 18 episodes.

    Port Protection Alaska (National Geographic)
    This docuseries profiles the approximately 100 people living in the frigid and remote community of Port Protection, tucked into the northwest corner of Prince of Wales Island, Alaska. The cable channel reportedly dropped this series, the original Life Below Zero series, and all of its spin-offs.

    Power Book II: Ghost (Starz)
    A crime drama, this spin-off revolves around Tariq St. Patrick as he navigates his new life and desires to shed his father’s legacy. It ended after four seasons and 40 episodes.

    Power Book IV: Force (Starz)
    This Power spin-off follows drug dealer Tommy Egan after he lands in Chicago. Season three is the end.

    Pulse (Netflix)
    In the streamer’s original medical drama, a group of ER residents navigate medical crises and personal drama amid a divisive allegation at their Miami hospital. Netflix pulled the plug after a single season.

    The Recruit (Netflix)
    A spy adventure series starring Noah Centineo, this show follows a CIA lawyer who gets involved in a large international conflict. It lasted for two seasons and 14 episodes.

    The ReidOut (MSNBC)
    Joy Reid’s program was cancelled during a shake-up at the cable outlet, and the host subsequently left the network.

    Rescue HI-Surf (FOX)
    This action-drama follows the lives of heavy-water lifeguards who patrol and protect the North Shore of O’ahu. It was dropped after one season.

    The Residence (Netflix)
    Led by Uzo Aduba, this show revolves around a murder mystery at the White House. It was offed after one season of eight episodes.

    Resident Alien (USA Network)
    An alien on a mission to Earth crash lands and finds himself in the remote mountain town in Colorado. He assumes human form as a doctor while trying to complete his mission. It was cancelled after four seasons.

    The Sandman (Netflix)
    This series is a supernatural horror drama that tells the story of Morpheus, the personification of dreams and one of the seven Endless, who is captured in an occult ritual in 1916. Season two is the end.

    The Saturday/Sunday Show with Jonathan Capehart (MSNBC)
    Capeheart’s weekend show was cancelled during a shake-up at the cable channel, but he is expected to begin hosting another series.

    SEAL Team (Paramount+)
    A military drama, this show started on CBS and then moved to Paramount+.  The show ended after 114 episodes.

    The Sex Lives of College Girls (Max)
    This teen comedy-drama follows the lives of four college freshmen roommates at a fictional school in Vermont. It was cancelled after three seasons.

    Somebody Somewhere (HBO)
    A single-camera comedy, this show follows Sam (Bridget Everett) as she tries to fit in and bond with others outside of her Kansas hometown. The series ended after three seasons.

    Star Trek: Lower Decks (Paramount+)
    This animated sci-fi comedy series revolves around the USS Cerritos starship and its low-ranking officers. It ended after five seasons and 50 episodes.

    The Sticky (Prime Video)
    A dark comedy series, this show was based on a 2012 heist of millions of dollars worth of maple syrup. It was cancelled after one season.

    StuGo (Disney+)
    In this animated comedy series, six overambitious middle schoolers are tricked into attending a fake academic summer camp by a mad scientist. Now they’re stuck for three months on a wild tropical island with mind-reading manatees, giant fighting fungi, and fashion-forward mutants. The show was expelled after one season.

    Suits LA (NBC)
    A former NYC federal prosecutor decides to restart his life by becoming an LA entertainment lawyer. This spin-off lasted one season.

    The Summer I Turned Pretty (Prime Video)
    This drama series follows the love triangle between a teen girl and two brothers. Season three concludes the story.

    The Summit (CBS)
    In the competition series, 16 strangers journey through the treacherous New Zealand Alps in an attempt to reach the peak of a distant, towering mountain. It was dropped after one season.

    Superman & Lois (The CW)
    The Man of Steel and his family said goodbye after four seasons, marking the end of the DC superhero shows on the network.

    SWAT (CBS)
    The network cancelled this police drama twice, but the series received last-minute reprieves. It has now been cancelled for a third and final time.

    The Talk (CBS)
    The network cancelled this daytime talk show after 15 years and nearly 3,000 episodes, partly to make room for a new soap opera. It ended in December 2024.

    Territory (Netflix)
    An Australian Western drama, this series follows the Lawson family, which owns the world’s largest cattle station. It was cancelled after one season of six episodes.

    Too Much (Netflix)
    When a heartbroken New Yorker moves to London hoping for a love story, she falls for an indie musician who’s anything but the typical romantic hero. This romantic comedy series was cancelled after one season.

    Transplant (NBC)
    A medical drama produced in Canada, this series takes place at the fictional York Memorial Hospital in Toronto. It ends with its fourth season.

    Tyler Perry’s Young Dylan (Nickelodeon)
    A comedy about a young aspiring hip-hop artist who moves in with his uncle and aunt, this show ran for five seasons before being cancelled.

    The Ultimatum: Queer Love (Netflix)
    In the show, six couples put their love to the test by moving in with other partners. Are they ready for marriage, or is “the one” actually someone else? It was ghosted after two seasons.

    Upload (Prime Video)
    Starring Robbie Amell, this sci-fi comedy-drama takes place in a world where deceased people (who can afford it) are uploaded to a virtual reality afterlife. It ends with season four.

    Vera (BritBox)
    A British crime drama, this series follows Vera (Brenda Blethyn), a nearly retired detective chief inspector of the fictional Northumberland & City Police, who is obsessive about her work. It ran for 14 seasons and 56 episodes.

    The Waterfront (Netflix)
    A prominent North Carolina fishing family wades into treacherous waters to keep their crumbling business empire afloat. It was canned after eight episodes.

    What If…? (Disney+)
    Based on the Marvel Comics series of the same name, this animated show looks at what might have happened if events had worked out differently for various Marvel characters. It ran for three seasons.

    What We Do in the Shadows (FX)
    A horror mockumentary series about a group of dysfunctional vampires living on Staten Island, this show ended with its sixth season.  Sorry, Guillermo.

    The Wheel of Time (Prime Video)
    A fantasy series based on the book by Robert Jordan, this drama features an ensemble cast led by Rosamund Pike. It ran for three seasons and 24 episodes.

    Wolf Hall (PBS)
    An adaptation of Hilary Mantel’s novels, this British drama follows the rapid rise to power of Thomas Cromwell in the court of Henry VIII. A second season ends the series.

    The Wranglers (The CW)
    After three episodes, the network pulled this dude ranch reality show and released the remaining five installments online.

    Yellowstone (Paramount Network)
    Created by Taylor Sheridan, this modern Western drama follows the Dutton family, owners of the largest ranch in Montana, the Yellowstone Dutton Ranch. It ran for five seasons and has spawned a couple of prequel series. A spin-off is on the way.

    You (Netflix)
    A psychological thriller, this drama follows Joe Goldberg (Penn Badgley), a charming serial killer. Season five is the end of the road.
