A former 16 & Pregnant star has been arrested and charged with a felony, and it comes on the heels of a lot of MTV drama. A handful of Teen Mom stars are in legal hot water amid rumors that the show has been cancelled, although that is unclear. So, who was arrested and what was the crime? 16 & Pregnant Star Arrested & Charged With Felony
Before there was Teen Mom, there was 16 & Pregnant, which followed pregnant teens as they prepared to become parents. Many struggled and had no idea what they were doing, while others had supportive parents or partners who tried to make it work. Jenelle Evans turned over custody of her son, Jace, to her mother, Barbara, as she was on her own. Moreover, she did not want to give up the partying lifestyle. Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra had horrible upbringings. Therefore, they opted for adoption, but that haunted them every day afterward.
Other cast members found themselves in legal hot water, drug addiction, or behind bars. Being on the hit MTV series was not easy, and now, one of the cast members has been arrested. Weston Gosa, from Season 1 of 16 & Pregnant fame, has been charged with felony shoplifting. He appeared on the show with his now ex, Whitney Purvis, in 2009. This arrest happened on Friday, February 20th, 2026, after he allegedly stole $542.96 worth of merchandise from Tractor Supply Company. The Calhoun, Georgia, resident supposedly did this in November 2025.
Whitney called her ex out for the theft in January via social media. She reposted a clip from the local authorities asking for the public’s help identifying the thief:
“Seeing my baby daddy stealing from tractor supply and being posted online was not how I expected to start off this year.”
Unfortunately, this is not Weston Gosa’s first brush with the law. He and Whitney were arrested in 2012 for criminal trespassing. Following that, he was arrested for drug DUI in 2013 and repeatedly for violating his probation. However, he had not been arrested for around a decade after that.
A Bad Trend
Weston Gosa is not alone in the arrest department. His ex, Whitney Purvis, was just charged with involuntary aggravated murder. The 16 & Pregnant mother did not have custody of the former couple’s children. Rather, Weston was responsible for them. However, their son, Weston Jr., died in June 2025 at the age of sixteen. This was heartbreaking, but Whitney threw daggers at her ex. She claimed that he did not give their son the medical care that he needed.
