Take a look at the latest injury concerns and players to sell in Gameweek 12 of the Premier League

The international break hasn’t just brought us fixture congestion – it’s delivered a fresh batch of injury concerns, yellow flags and doubts that will shape our GW12 decisions.

With key players picking up knocks, minutes at risk, and several assets entering tougher fixture runs, this is one of those weeks where selling early can save you a headache later.

Whether you’re protecting rank or setting up for a GW13 wildcard, here are five players you should consider moving on or avoiding entirely this week, especially with some of them carrying injury uncertainty or facing a sharp dip in FPL value.

    Gabriel (6.6m)

David Ornstein’s update was the confirmation FPL managers didn’t want: Gabriel looks set to miss one to two months after picking up an injury over the international break.

Arsenal’s defensive structure is strong enough that owners of their other defenders shouldn’t panic, but for Gabriel specifically, the decision is simple – he’s a sell.

This run of games is too long to bench through, and the position is too valuable to leave idle. The positive spin? It opens the door to move onto more reliable options.

Van Dijk, Muñoz or even Timber – who now looks secure for minutes – offer clean-sheet potential and stability that Gabriel can’t provide right now.

    Antoine Semenyo (8.1m)

Semenyo isn’t a hard sell just yet, but he is one to monitor closely heading into the GW12 deadline. He was taken off for Ghana after aggravating a left ATFL sprain – an injury players can sometimes play through, but the dreaded yellow flag always deserves attention.

Personally, I think he’ll make the squad, but we should get clearer information from Bournemouth’s press conference later in the week.

If he’s ruled out or even hinted to be a doubt, the move is straightforward. Cunha and Mbeumo both offer strong short-term value and are easy sideways transfers that won’t disrupt your structure.

    Marc Guéhi (5.1m)

Guéhi is another name carrying a yellow flag, and the signs aren’t ideal. He picked up a foot problem before the break and has reportedly not taken part in Palace’s latest full team training sessions.

That alone suggests he’s unlikely to feature in GW12. It’s worth waiting for Glasner’s press conference, but with the information we currently have, planning for at least one missed game seems sensible.

Fortunately, this doesn’t look like a long-term issue. From GW13 onwards, the expectation is that he should be available again. If you can bench him for one week, fine – but if not, a short-term switch may be required.

    Viktor Gyökeres (8.9m)

Information on Viktor Gyökeres is pretty thin, with the only notable update being that he “remains a doubt for the weekend,” via @HandofArsenal.

Regardless of whether he makes the squad, this feels like a natural point to consider moving him on. Arsenal’s fixtures take a tougher turn, and his recent output hasn’t matched his early-season promise.

With template options like Mateta rising in ownership and delivering steady returns, sticking with Gyökeres carries more risk than reward right now.

Even if he ends up available, this looks like the sensible moment to jump ship before you lose ground to managers already shifting to more in-form forwards.

    Dan Burn (5.2m)

Burn’s red card puts him in the spotlight, but in truth, this applies to most of Newcastle’s defensive assets. Their fixture run is turning, and the clean-sheet potential simply isn’t what it was earlier in the season.

With Bournemouth, Liverpool and Manchester United all offering defensive options with better fixtures and lower ownership, now is a good time to reassess your Newcastle picks.

Dan Burn owners will likely move him on immediately, but the logic extends to the rest of the back line. You’re not just reacting to one red card – you’re getting ahead of a difficult run that could easily dry up returns. Get ahead of the game while you can.
