The View Fans Ready To Replace Missing Host
Alyssa Farah Griffin is one of the few conservative co-hosts on The View. She had a senior communication role in President Trump’s first administration. However, she left the role in late 2020 because she was reportedly uncomfortable with the President’s claims that the election was stolen. While she’s still a Republican, she no longer supports President Trump.
She announced in October 2025 that she was pregnant. Alyssa Farah Griffin began her maternity leave a few days earlier than expected in February. She plans to return, but in the meantime, the daytime talk show has rotating guest co-hosts. The second guest host, Amanda Carpenter, is a conservative political commentator.
One viewer took to Reddit to start a petition for Amanda Carpenter to replace Alyssa Farah Griffin permanently.

While fans were divided over Amanda Carpenter, many agreed that she was way better than previous guest host Savannah Chrisley. The reality star subbed for several days as the first to fill in for Alyssa Farah Griffin. Savannah Chrisley is a staunch supporter of President Trump and spoke at the Republican National Convention in 2024, months before her parents received Presidential pardons.
Viewers lambasted Savannah Chrisley as a co-host. However, she found a surprising ally. The View host Sunny Hostin defended her on the show’s Behind the Table podcast. “That’s what ‘The View’ is. You have to be able to sit with people that, you know, voted for him three times and support him and continue to support him,” she said about having a Trump supporter as guest host.

Alyssa Farah Griffin and her husband, Justin Griffin, welcomed a baby boy on February 10. They struggled for years to conceive and went through multiple rounds of IVF. She took to social media this week with a heartwarming update about her growing family.
