Sara Haines has a long career in television. She got her start years ago, right out of college as part of NBC’s Page Program. She eventually transitioned to an on-air role as a correspondent on the Today Show. The Smith College graduate moved to ABC in 2013 as a correspondent with Good Morning America.
She officially joined The View as a co-host in 2016. She briefly left to rejoin GMA, but returned to the talk show in 2020. Sara Haines has been the panel’s middle-of-the-road Independent voices. While she stopped supporting President Trump years ago, she supports the war in Iran. However, some viewers think she contributes little to the show. The View Fans Want Sara Haines Gone, Name Replacement
The View has had the same panel for several seasons. However, Alyssa Farah Griffin temporarily left the show in February. She’s on maternity leave after welcoming her first child that month. She’s expected to return. In the meantime, ABC brought in a roster of guest hosts to fill the empty seat at the “Hot Topics” table.
Some of the guest hosts weren’t popular with viewers, including Savannah Chrisley and former host Elisabeth Hasselbeck. However, others, such as Amanda Carpenter, have been well-received. The change in co-hosts has also changed the dynamics at the table. Some viewers think Sara Haines’ time at the show is up.
Sheryl Underwood, who hosted The Talk on CBS for over a decade, stepped in for Alyssa Farah Griffin last week, and she was an immediate hit with viewers. Even when discussing serious topics, the comedian held her own. In fact, many fans have begged the show’s executive producer, Brian Teta, to add Sheryl Underwood to the show as a permanent co-host. Even if that means another host, such as Sara Haines, has to go to make room.
Viewers Pick Up Tension Between Joy Behar & Sheryl Underwood
While viewers have enjoyed Sheryl Underwood on the show, some suspect that Joy Behar wasn’t as welcoming. One fan took to Reddit to discuss Joy Behar’s alleged attitude toward Sheryl Underwood.
- “am i the only one picking up on the tension between them? mostly seems to be coming from joy … there’s been a few awkward moments this week between them whereas the rest of the hosts seem to really be vibing with sheryl”
