Kristin Cabot, the woman involved in the viral kiss cam scandal at a Coldplay concert last summer, has opened up about what she claims are the lies of her former boss and budding lover, Andy Byron.
The HR exec, who was on the verge of divorcing her husband when she was caught in a compromising position with the Astronomer CEO, said she also believed he was in a similar situation at the time with his own wife.
Although Kristin Cabot has since given multiple interviews about being the subject of global ridicule, Andy Byron hasn’t said a word since the incident and seems to be working on his marriage.
Kristin Cabot Claims Her Former Boss Andy Byron Lied To Her
When they attended Coldplay’s concert in July 2025, Cabot was inseparable from her then-boss, Byron, as their PDA-filled moment was caught on the big screen.
However, they made global headlines and went viral on social media the moment they tried to dodge the spotlight, causing Coldplay’s frontman Chris Martin to joke that they might be having an “affair.”
In a new sit-down for Oprah Winfrey’s “The Oprah Podcast,” the former human resources executive, whose marriage with her husband was nearing its end at the time of the kiss cam scandal, hinted at how she was made to believe her then-boss was also in the process of divorcing his wife.
“There was a big miss on honesty and integrity,” she told Oprah, adding, “He wasn’t the person he represented himself to be, to me — and lying is a non-negotiable for me.”
Unlike Cabot, who is in the middle of a divorce, her former boss, Byron, seems to have been forgiven by his wife. As seen in photos taken last September, the couple enjoyed a relaxing day at the beach while seated on deck chairs, hinting that their marriage was back on track after the scandal.

Oprah pressed her on what she meant by the statement, saying she sounded like Byron lied to her about the situation with his own wife, to which she agreed.
However, Cabot refrained from sharing further insights into her claims as she notes she didn’t want to put their private lives out there, not after what she suffered herself in light of the scandal.
“I wanna be really careful, because the world spoke for me and on my behalf, and I don’t wanna do that to somebody else and their family,” she said, adding that “a lot of what was represented to me was not true.”
The controversial moment has since upended their lives as the pair were made to leave their roles at Astronomer.
Cabot has previously shared that she suffered a great deal in its aftermath as her physical appearance was brought under intense scrutiny, and was often on the receiving end of criticism and harassment, and sometimes, death threats.
Kristin Cabot Says She And Andy Byron Are No Longer Talking
Byron has remained tight-lipped on the viral moment and has yet to respond to any of Cabot’s comments, which include claims that they kissed that night but hadn’t had anything sexual.
It remains unclear what the current state of his own marriage is, but he was previously seen publicly with his wife, and they both had their wedding rings on.
Meanwhile, Cabot told Oprah that she felt stranded and alone amid the whole thing, adding that she and Byron are no longer on speaking terms.
“I was left holding the bag — and I don’t, you know, being the one that was attacked for this, with, you know, he’s [Byron] remained silent. To me, that’s not a quality that I would look for in a friend or a partner or a boss,” she said. “So we have no relationship now.”
After the story broke, the pair initially kept in touch from time to time and checked in with each other, according to Cabot.
“Honestly, a lot of it was, like: ‘Hi. It’s 11 o’clock on a Tuesday. Any advice?’” she told The New York Times in December last year.
In another interview with The Times of London, she noted that their chats were basically about “crisis management advice.”
The 53-Year-Old Says They Were Treated Differently
Elsewhere in her chat with Oprah, Cabor insisted that they were both treated differently, with her treatment being the more stringent and unforgiving.
She noted that every “single part of my physical appearance was picked apart,” and her “mistake” was met with cruel and harsh repercussions both online and offline.
“I own the poor decision that I made in that moment, and I’ve paid an unimaginable price for that,” she said.
It remains to be seen how Cabot gets to pick her life back up professionally, but that doesn’t seem to be a problem for Byron, who she said had fielded several job offers.
“I think he has the luxury of staying silent, and he can go back to work when he’s ready. I don’t. I feel — I have to remind myself I’m not on trial, but I have to in order for me to get back on my feet, I have to come out and explain,” Cabot said. “And I think that’s a stark difference between the man and the woman in this situation. I have to explain and explain and justify.”
Kristin Cabot Is ‘Dying To Get Back To Work’ As She’s Raising Her Kids ‘Alone’
Cabot is now working on getting back on her feet, telling Oprah that she is ready to get back to work, although, unlike Byron, she is finding it hard to get a job.
“I have so much gas left in the tank. I’m dying to get back to work,” the former HR chief told the talk show host.
Cabot even brought up her kids to stress how much she needs a job, noting that she is their sole provider.
“I’m raising my kids alone,” she noted, adding, “I’m financially responsible for my kids alone, and I need to get back to work.”
