A woman managed to survive a terrifying situation when she escaped from three men who have been accused of kidnapping her in Florida.
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office said that the kidnapping was reported on Sunday, March 15, around 6 a.m. in Hillsborough County, according to a press release shared by the department.
Investigators said the victim was approached by Dalberto Mena Schueg and Brayan Parada Balboa, who allegedly forced her into a vehicle against her will.
The suspects then took the woman — whose age and identity has not been revealed — to a location in Hillsborough County and beat her up, according to investigators.
Balboa, 21, and Danilo Maturell Coasta have been accused of holding the victim at that location for several hours. The woman eventually managed to escape and got help, while authorities said that she had visible injuries when she was found.
After the woman reported the terrifying experience, the three suspects were arrested on Monday, March 16.
Schueg, 35, has been charged with kidnapping, false imprisonment, tampering with a witness and simple battery (domestic violence). Meanwhile, Balboa was charged with kidnapping, false imprisonment, tampering with a witness and simple battery. As for Coasta, 25, he has been charged with false imprisonment.
It is not currently clear if the suspects had a motive behind the alleged kidnapping. However, it was revealed during a pre-trial detention hearing that the victim is married to one of the suspects, according to the press release.
It is not currently clear if Schueg, Balboa or Coasta have entered pleas or retained legal counsel following their arrests. The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office did not immediately respond to Us Weekly’s request for comment regarding the case.

Not much is currently known about the alleged attempted kidnapping. However, Sheriff Chad Chronister said in the release that the incident was “violent and deeply concerning.” He added that the victim’s life was put at “serious risk, but thanks to the swift response and relentless work of our deputies, those responsible are now in custody.”
“Let this serve as a clear message: if you commit violent crimes in our community, you will be found, and you will be held fully accountable,” Chronister added. “We will continue to stand with victims and ensure their safety remains our top priority.”
An investigation into the incident remains ongoing. Authorities said that any future updates regarding the case will come directly from the Public Affairs Office.
