Recently, news has come out that British television personality Jordan Wright passed away at the age of 33, having been found dead in Thailand on March 14. Wright first rose to fame in 2017 while appearing on Ex on the Beach. The following year, he joined The Only Way Is Essex.
One The Only Way Is Essex Alum Shared They Met Wright In Thailand Before His Passing
The star was noted to have moved to Thailand weeks prior to his death, allegedly looking for a fresh start. Back in February, Wright shared a video of himself riding his motorcycle down a road set within lush greenery.
In early March, he shared a carousel post made up of photos and videos of his new life in Thailand. In a simple caption, he wrote, “I’m home.” He added, “The best bath I’ve ever taken,” likely in reference to the first photo, which showed him enjoying a drink during a soak.
Throughout the share, Wright shared a video of himself scuba diving, enjoying the local food, and even going on a boat ride. He also showed off Thai landscapes and architecture.
In his recent post, fans and friends have also been sharing their condolences in light of Wright’s passing. The Only Way Is Essex alum Liam Gatsby Blackwell stated that he recently met with Wright in the Southeast Asian country. He wrote:
- “Miss you already, brother. Glad I got to see you in Thailand a couple months ago. Big love to all your Family.”
Speaking to Fox News Digital, an ITV spokesperson confirmed Wright’s death. In a statement, it was shared, “Everyone at TOWIE sends their deepest sympathies to the family and friends of Jordan Wright at this very sad time.” According to Deadline, it was also reported that he was found in a drainage canal near Bang Tao Beach in Phuket.
