Barcelona will look to build on the feelgood factor generated by their Champions League thrashing of Newcastle in midweek when they host Rayo Vallecano this afternoon.
The Catalans cruised past the Premier League side 8-3 on aggregate after a 7-2 success at Camp Nou on Wednesday night.
Hansi Flick’s side have won six and drawn one of their last seven games in all competitions and sit four points clear of Real Madrid in La Liga.
Rayo also progressed in Europe, despite losing 1-0 at home to Turkish side Samsunspor in the Conference League. Their 3-1 victory in the first leg was enough for them to advance to the quarterfinals.
They have also been in good form domestically, and will arrive in Barcelona on the back of a six-game unbeaten run.
