Netflix has added 24 new cast members to its upcoming hostage thriller series Rabbit, Rabbit, which already has Adam Driver (Marriage Story) and Regina Hall (One Battle After Another) attached as stars.
Deadline reveals the actors joining the high-profile series include Alison Pill (The Newsroom), Brian d’Arcy James (Spotlight), Spencer Reed Tomich (The Prom), Susanna Flood (Broadway’s Liberation), Ada Bland (Capsized), Alex Morf (Mindhunter), Annie Golden (Orange is the New Black), April Matthis (Not Suitable for Work), Ashlyn Maddox (The Four Seasons), C.J. Wilson (The Gilded Age), Darion Basco (NCIS), Jason Schmidt (The Outsiders), Jeremy Gill (Cat Person), Kai Drake (Goosechase), Karoline (A Different Man), Liz Caribel Sierra (God’s Time), Mac Brandt (Good Night and Good Luck), Mike Houston (Horizon: An American Saga – Chapter 2), Patch Darragh (56 Days), Reed Birney (The Menu), Sam Vartholomeos (A House of Dynamite), Samantha Jones (Murder at the End of the World), Sara Gutierrez (Law & Order: Special Victims Unit), and Thomas Francis Murphy (Manhunt).
Will Poulter (Warefare) and Odessa Young (Black Rabbit), who were previously announced as cast members, were not mentioned in this new announcement. More news on the series can be found on TUDUM.
The series is being created by Peter Craig (Top Gun: Maverick, The Batman), with Philip Barantini (Adolescence) directing. Both Craig and Barantini are also attached as executive producers, alongside Adam Driver.
In Rabbit, Rabbit, escaped convict J-Will (Driver) is cornered by law enforcement at a truck stop in southern Illinois and takes hostages to bargain for his freedom. But the standoff quickly escalates, and J-Will finds himself in an emotional poker game with a veteran FBI Crisis Negotiator (Hall) trained in “tactical empathy.”
Production is currently underway in New Jersey. A release date has not been announced.
