Yellowstone fans have continued to enjoy the series through a number of spin-off shows. Another spin-off, Dutton Ranch, which will focus on Beth and Rip, is also set to make its debut. In the meantime, a lot of details have been shared, including the release date and even the first teaser trailer.
Dutton Ranch Switches Up The Montana Setting For Another State
Yellowstone is a neo-Western drama that originally ran from 2018 to 2024. The series followed the drama concerning the Dutton family and the Yellowstone Dutton Ranch, or the “Yellowstone.”
Over the years, the show has seen a number of spin-offs, including 1883 and 1923. Another spin-off, Dutton Ranch, is also set to make its debut.
This show follows Kelly Reilly’s Beth and Cole Hauser’s Rip after the events of the main series. According to a new teaser trailer, the two believe they have left the violence of Montana in the past. However, the two soon find themselves in a fight for their new lives.
This description might catch some fans off guard, as the ending of the parent show suggested that the two would be purchasing a ranch in Dillon, Montana. However, the spin-off will take place in South Texas.
Another Yellowstone Spin-Off Premiered Earlier This Month
As noted by Variety, a logline for the show reads, “As Beth and Rip fight to build a future together – far from the ghosts of Yellowstone – they collide with brutal new realities and a ruthless rival ranch that will stop at nothing to protect its empire. In South Texas, blood runs deeper, forgiveness is fleeting, and the cost of survival might just be your soul.”
The show’s first season will also include Finn Little, Juan Pablo Raba, Jai Courtney, J.R. Villarreal, Marc Menchaca, Natalie Alyn Lind, Ed Harris, and Annette Bening. Little had also played Carter in the original show.
As the outlet noted, this isn’t the only Yellowstone spin-off that made its debut this year. Earlier this month, fans saw the premiere of Marshals. This series follows Luke Grimes’ Kayce Dutton as he joins a specialized group of U.S. Marshals tasked with protecting the state of Montana.
Meanwhile, Dutton Ranch will debut its first two episodes on May 15 on Paramount+ and at 8 PM ET/PT on Paramount Network. After this, new episodes will air on a weekly basis. The first season will consist of nine episodes.
