SIIICKBRAIN has announced her new album, HOUNDSTOOH, out June 3 via Nowhere Recordings/Pale Chord/Rise Records BMG. The full-length shows SIIICKBRAIN reflecting on personal struggles and how she’s learned to cope with life’s challenges by rediscovering joy.
“HOUNDSTOOTH finally feels like I have found the sound I’ve been searching for since I started making music,” she says. “The honest and personal lyrics on certain tracks, along with the through line of who I am and where I come from, truly just feels like the album is the best representation of myself that I could’ve made.

“The high energy on the production side really shows that, through the challenges that everyone faces in life, I’ve found the best coping mechanism to simply be finding the fun again,” she continues. “There’s a way to be honest and process thoughts and emotions while still living a high vibrational lifestyle, and I think I finally figured it out.”
Previewing the album is “MURKY WATER,” a song that explores having a “god complex” and the concept that both her struggles and successes can influence others. The video, directed by Afanasii Chavdaridi, switches between black and white and color, showing women being judged at a cattle auction.
“MURKY WATER” follows last month’s “PALO SANTO” and a feature on the title track of Skrillex’s latest EP, Kora.
