Skip the Dishes is partnering with the 2025 World Series runner-up, the Toronto Blue Jays, as the official on-demand delivery partner of the team, and giving Canadians a discount to boot.
Skip is launching a special opening night voucher, giving fans 50 per cent off on orders. On March 27, fans will be able to head to Skip’s official Instagram page to find a special one-day-only voucher that can be used to stock up on food and snacks from local restaurants.
Last season, the Jays made the World Series for the first time since 1993. According to Rogers, an average of 10.9 million viewers in Canada tuned in to watch Game 7 in Toronto between the Blue Jays and the Dodgers, and 18.5 million Canadians watched some, if not all, of the series-deciding game, making it the most-watched broadcast ever for the network.
Skip also shared the five most-ordered cuisines in Ontario during last year’s World Series run:
- Burgers: Step aside, hot dogs. Burgers were the clear MVP, accounting for
40% of all orders, dominating the lineup by a wide margin. - Pizza: A reliable game day staple at 13%, holding down the #2 spot.
- Breakfast & Brunch: Coming in at 8%, showing fans had some morning cravings after all those late-night extra innings.
- Fried Chicken: Crispy, shareable, and built for game time with almost 8% of orders.
- Indian: Rounding out the top five at 6%, adding bold flavour to the game day spread.
Fans were strategic with order timing so their gameday foods would arrive just for the start of the game. According to Skip, orders peaked at around 6 PM, and the largest game day order was over $630. Through the upcoming season, Skip will continue to roll out game-day offers for fans across the country.
