Viewers followed Lamar Odom and Khloé Kardashian’s relationship through various reality series, including their own show. Recently, one figure close to Odom, his ex, Liza Morales, shared what it was like seeing the story play out while closely on the outside. This also comes out as Odom is set to be featured in an upcoming documentary.
Liza Morales Is A Fashion Designer Who Had A Relationship & Children With Lamar Odom Prior To His Marriage To Khloé Kardashian
Odom is a former professional basketball player. He played in the National Basketball Association as a member of the Los Angeles Lakers.
In his personal life, Odom married media personality Khloé Kardashian after a month of dating. Their marriage led to them being the focus of the reality series, Khloé & Lamar. However, their divorce was finalized in 2016. Prior to this, Odom was in a relationship with fashion designer Liza Morales, sharing multiple children.
In a recent episode of People, Morales looked back at her relationship with Odom, noting that things took a turn after the death of their six-month old son, Jayden, in 2006. The two also share two other children, Lamar Jr. and Destiny.
In 2009, Morales saw Odom marry Khloé Kardashian within 30 days, and nine days after becoming engaged. Speaking with the outlet, she shared, “It was shocking,” noting, “I couldn’t escape it,” while reflecting on the media coverage of the event.
Morales noted that her ex briefly explained what was going on before it got picked up by the media. She explained, “It was a text message and then a phone call from Lamar, ‘By the way, I’m getting married.’ And then, my God, it was everywhere.”
Liza Morales Admitted That One Thing Made What Happened Especially Ironic For Her
Morales shared that she understood Odom moving on, but felt that the speed of what was going on really got to her. She continued, “It wasn’t that he got married,” she says. “It was how it happened.” Morales admitted, “It did hurt me because of the way it was done. It was rushed.”
“And then he got married on TV and I couldn’t go to my local CVS pharmacy without seeing it all over the tabloids, and it was just always in my face, so it made it harder to heal… I think hopefully Lamar learned from it.”

Morales also admitted to one irony about the story. Before she became indirectly involved, she had been a fan of the Kardashians’ reality show. In particular, she was drawn to Khloé Kardashian for her humor and found her relatable. She even shared, “She was the one I liked.”
As the outlet noted, Morales has shared that she had a cordial relationship with Khloé after meeting her, but admitted that they haven’t spoken to each other in years. She noted, “It’s been a few years since I spoke with Khloé. But no, we haven’t sat down and said, ‘Hey, wasn’t that some real craziness?”
This comes out as Odom is set to be the focus of the documentary, Untold: The Death & Life of Lamar Odom. It will be available on Netflix on March 31, 2026.
