Unexpected fans are having a very hard time with Season 7 and the cast that has been chosen. If it is not the teenagers, the parents are causing some sort of drama. Two of the teenagers, Bella and Hunter, have been controversial since the promos dropped. He is only 13, but was 12 when he got Bella pregnant. Now, she is under fire for a “disgusting” NSFW sex talk that she had with her parents, Kris and Falen. Keep reading for more on what viewers had to say.
Bella Crosses The Line With Her Parents
When Unexpected viewers learned that Bella Vaughn and her boyfriend, Hunter Johnson, were so young, they were appalled. He is just thirteen years old, but was twelve when he impregnated Bella, who is fifteen. They began dating when she was twelve, and he was ten, which does not seem as bad, but is still quite young. The two are very open about being sexually active, and Bella maintains that Hunter wants to do it all of the time. When asked about their postpartum birth control plans, she had none.
She did not want to go on birth control as she did not care for the side effects. There was the possibility of ovulation tests and condoms, but again, that was up in the air. Ultimately, Bella’s father, Kris, felt that maybe abstaining from intimacy was the best idea. That did not sit well with Bella, who then began talking about “backdoor” activities. She shared that Hunter had other ideas about what they could do to avoid pregnancy:
“Hunter would love to do butt sex because he thinks that is a way to prevent pregnancy and he doesn’t want to wear a condom. But we’re not doing anal sex. That is a one-way poop chute.”
It was hard enough to hear Bella say this, but she did it in front of her mother and her father. Unexpected viewers could not believe that she would do so on camera and with Kris and Falen by her side. Furthermore, Bella’s parents just sat there, as if they were unfazed, with her mother, Falen, just chuckling.
This Is ‘Disgusting’ Behavior
It was a hard pill to swallow watching this scene play out, and Unexpected fans immediately raced to social media. One simply shared this sentiment:
Others were quick to blame Cedarville, Arkansas-based Bella Vaughn’s parents, Kris and Falen, for their lack of parenting. They believed that they enabled her, and there was a lack of true boundaries in the home:
- The parents reaction tells me everything. Her dad needs to man up and start putting boundaries and rules in place otherwise baby #2 will be here soon
Then, many other viewers could not fathom even talking about this stuff with or even in front of their parents as Bella does:
- Right I’m in my 40s and I couldn’t imagine saying that in front of my parents
- Honey Boo Boo Bella is so uncouth!
It has been a lot to handle and digest. Ultimately, as some followers have been saying, this season is a cautionary tale for teenagers. The hope is that they can follow Hunter’s journey and see that it is best to wait and just enjoy being a kid.
