His wife missed a few of his attempts to reach out on the phone because she was in jail herself. Kendra Duggar and her husband both face four counts of child endangerment and four counts of false imprisonment. The exact nature of the charges hasn’t been revealed, but the charges are allegedly related to their own four children, not the sexual abuse victim.
During one phone call, Joseph Duggar told his wife that he was in solitary confinement for 23 hours a day. However, he said it gave him time to relax and read the Bible. She told him that she was in a safe and private residence after her arrest. Neither of them is allowed contact with their four children during the investigation.
