Basement have released “The Way I Feel,” the latest preview from their upcoming album, Wired.
“‘The Way I Feel’ is about standing on the edge of a really important decision, right before you make it,” vocalist Andrew Fisher explains. “Constantly questioning whether you have the courage to stand up for yourself and fight your side, while at the same time begging for forgiveness and acknowledgement. My tongue is in my cheek quite a lot in this song — you need to decide when I’m saying what I mean or not.”

The video, directed by Kaylinn Duffy, features a skateboarder trying to gain the confidence to perform tricks and big moves in front of his friends. “The Way I Feel” is one of 12 tracks on Wired, the band’s first album in eight years and their first with their original label Run For Cover since 2016’s Promise Everything.
Later this summer, Basement will perform across Europe and a slot at All Points East Festival supporting Deftones alongside IDLES, Amyl & the Sniffers, JPEGMAFIA, Show Me the Body, and more.
