Bravo recently confirmed that season 15 of “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” will feature returning fan-favorites Teresa Giudice, Melissa Gorga, and Dolores Catania. Since that announcement, “RHONJ” fans have had mostly positive reactions, but some have concerns about where this cast can take the troubled series.
Now, a new report claims the network and the production company behind it may share fans’ sentiments that the returning cast should have been different.
There Is Reportedly Concern For ‘RHONJ’ Season 15
Following the “RHONJ” season 15 casting news, RealityBlurb received word from a source close to the production that Bravo and the show’s production company, Sirens, are unsure whether their reboot attempts will succeed.
The insider said, “Bravo and Sirens [the production company] are seemingly working hard to bring ‘RHONJ’ back, but people close to the action are a bit worried about how things are playing out. Teresa has always been an integral character on the show and, while they did consider moving the show forward without her last summer, they ultimately decided to continue to build the show around her.’
They went on to discuss the potential issue with Gorga, Catania, and Giudice returning, which is that they’re on good terms with one another. The insider continued, “What are we going to see? Them sitting around and singing Kumbaya.”
Insiders Say Bravo Also Has Concerns About The Newbies
Typically, Bravo’s “Real Housewives” shows feature seven to eight full-time cast members, or housewives. Because of this, fans can expect to see at least three or four new cast members on the series, unless they decide to bring back a former star.
Regarding the newbies, the insider said, “Then you have three potential newbies. You know none of them will fight with Teresa because they will be too nervous that it could cause them to lose their spot on the show. So the issue becomes this – what drama will there be?”
They continued, discussing Margaret Josephs, who announced her exit before Bravo confirmed the cast.
According to the insider, “While Margaret confirmed she’s not returning, it’s not good for the network. There is an unsettled score between her and Teresa that viewers are still pining to see play out. Think how epic a sit-down between them could have been. Think season 2 Caroline Manzo and Danielle Staub level. It would have been great drama that would absolutely have driven ratings.”
The report also says Bravo may rehire Kim DePaola, a former friend of the show.
Fans Say They’ve Waited Long Enough For The Show
“RHONJ” season 14 ended in August 2024. After that, there was no official work on the series until March 2026, when Bravo confirmed the returning cast. Because of this, most fans are happy with the cast, given the long wait between seasons.
One person said on Instagram about the ladies all getting along, “Yes, we need that. We have suffered enough trauma. Lol, we want fun light jersey back!” Someone else said, “We actually like to see Melisa and Teresa getting along. And hopefully we’ll catch little Frankie’s wedding that’s happening this summer.”
On the contrary, another “RHONJ” watcher wrote, “Teresa should not have been brought back. No one will go up against her except Melissa, and then we go back to the same old dynamic.”
The person continued, “Cast wealthy women who want fame and not necessarily the money! We can agree that Teresa is an OG, but the show can go on without her! We also want to see the women have fun, get along, and have some light shade.”
The Cast Has Reacted To The News
Since the announcement, most of the returning cast have reacted to the news. According to Bravo, Gorga took to social media to share her thoughts. She said, “Lots of good news today, ‘The Real Housewives of New Jersey’ is back, baby! Let’s go!”
The Let’s Sprinkle by MG founder continued, “I know you missed us Jersey girls, so, super excited about that. I have so much I wanna say about that. I just keep going on, and on, and on. But I think I’m just gonna say it’s about time, OK? Jersey’s in the house.”
Giudice responded by leaving purple heart emojis in the comments section of Bravo’s announcement. Catania spoke about it during an appearance on “Watch What Happens Live.”
Meet The Rumored Cast
So far, Bravo has not confirmed the rest of the “RHONJ” cast. However, there have been multiple reports about who else fans may see when season 15 finally airs. More recently, Dorinda Deadly on X shared a report from Bravo & Cocktails.
The report states that the newbies are Natia Rufolo, Xiomara, Juliette, Vanessa Barrera, and Deeba Patel. However, other reports have stated that Gia Casey, the wife of “Breakfast Club” personality DJ Envy, would be joining. Notably, Casey is a close friend of Giudice and has been approached to appear on the show before.
