Fans know Hoda Kotb for her long career in broadcast journalism. However, they’ve also followed her life through other venues. Recently, a timely post on social media has Kotb as the subject of a few romantic rumors.
Today‘s Hoda Kotb Recently Wished Someone A Happy Birthday On Social Media
Kotb is best known for her work with Today, first co-hosting its fourth hour in 2007 and being named co-anchor alongside Savannah Guthrie in 2018. Having joined NBC in 1998, she has also served as a correspondent for Dateline NBC.
In 2024, Kotb announced her departure from Today in early 2025, with her last day being January 10th of that year. However, in February 2026, she would make her return to the talk show to fill in for Guthrie. Kotb’s previous co-anchor had stepped away from the show following the disappearance of her mother, Nancy, during this time.
In her personal life, Kotb split with her fiancé, New York financier Joel Schiffman, in 2022. The two were previously attached in 2013, following her divorce from Burzis Kanga in 2008.
Despite their breakup, Kotb still took to social media to wish Schiffman a happy birthday. In a simple caption, she wrote, “Happy bday to the best DAD!!!,” complete with a birthday cake emoji.
Some Fans Also Noticed A Certain Accessory Kotb Had On In The Photos (& Elsewhere)
During their relationship, Kotb had adopted two daughters, Haley Joy and Hope Catherine. After announcing the end of their engagement in 2022, Kotb shared that she and Schiffman would continue to co-parent the girls as friends.
Kotb’s carousel post opened up with Schiffman hugging both of the girls together as they sat on his lap. In the second photo, Kotb, Schiffman, and the girls came together to share some birthday cake.
Taking to the comments, some fans wondered if a happy reunion could be in the couple’s future. In particular, a few fans noticed Kotb wearing a ring.
However, most simply shared how they enjoy seeing the two come together to take care of their daughters. Of course, quite a few simply just wanted to wish Joe a happy birthday. Some comments included:
