The last film adaptation of the Masters of the Universe story material came in 1987 from Cannon Films and director Gary Goddard, with Dolph Lundgren appearing as He-Man and Frank Langella as Skeletor. The media franchise, which began in 1982, also includes books, comic books, animated series and television specials.
