Today Host Announces New Book
Jenna Bush Hager has shared her love of reading with the Today Show audience. Since 2019, she’s hosted the Read with Jenna book club on the morning program. She chooses a new book each month to share with the audience. The April book pick has a special place in her heart. It’s one of hers.
She didn’t personally write “Into the Blue.” The novel was written by Emma Brodie. However, it was one of several books from Jenna Bush Hager’s Thousand Voices publishing imprint. The imprint has two more books scheduled to come out this year, with more in the future.
Jenna Bush Hager Celebrates Huge Family Milestone
The book release isn’t the only exciting event happening this month. Jenna Bush Hager revealed on the show this week that her daughter is officially a teenager. Her oldest daughter, Margaret Laura “Mila” Hager, turned 13 on Monday, April 13.
Jenna Bush Hager and her co-host talked about being parents of teenagers. Sheinelle Jones shares three children with her late husband. Her oldest son is 16 and her twins Clara and Uche turned 13 recently. “They’ve become their own people,” Sheinelle Jones warned Jenna Bush Hager.

Shares Story Of Daughter’s Surprise Appearance At Baby Shower
Jenna Bush Hager has two other children, Poppy and Hal, with her husband. However, her daughter arrived in a truly memorable way. The Today host went into labor during her baby shower for Mila.
“She was supposed to come around May 10. She came [on] April 13,” she shared. The talk show host continued, “I was wearing a short, little orange dress. I look like a pumpkin. And I was sitting in a circle full of people, opening presents. And all of a sudden, my waters burst.”
She said that everybody at the baby shower had a different reaction. Some people, like her mother, Former First Lady Laura Bush, jumped into action. However, other pregnant women in attendance started to cry out of “fear.” Jenna Bush Hager’s baby shower was cut short due to the early arrival of her daughter.
Jenna Bush Hager admitted she was in disbelief that she’s the mom of a teenager now. However, she understands that her daughter will make new memories without her, such as trick-or-treating with her friends.
“Ok, well Happy Birthday! She’s gonna love that I talked about it on the show.,” the Today Show host joked at the end of the conversation about her daughter’s birthday. Happy 13th birthday to Jenna Bush Hager’s daughter!
