Cole Palmer has played down speculation over his future, insisting he is committed to Chelsea despite reports linking him with a move to Manchester United.
The 23-year-old, who joined Chelsea from Manchester City in 2023, has been the subject of transfer talk in recent weeks, with suggestions his dip in form could lead to a return to the North West.
But Palmer rejected those claims and said he has no intention of leaving Stamford Bridge.
“Everyone just talks,” he said.
“When I see it I just laugh. Obviously Manchester is my home. All my family are there, but I don’t miss it.
“Maybe I’ll miss it if I don’t go for three months or something. But then when I get home I think there’s nothing there for me anyway.”
Palmer’s Chelsea future addressed
After a strong start to life at Chelsea, Palmer has found goals harder to come by this season, scoring 10 so far after hitting 43 across his first two campaigns.
That drop has led to speculation around his situation, but the midfielder made it clear he remains focused on his current club.
“I’ve got no plans to move from Chelsea,” he said.
“We’ve still got a lot to play for. We’ve got the FA Cup semi-final and if we finish in a Champions League spot it puts us in a good position to sign players that we need.”
Palmer signed a long-term contract extension in 2024, tying him to Chelsea until 2033.
Chelsea’s summer transfer plans
With Chelsea currently pushing for a top-five finish, Palmer also spoke about the club’s plans moving forward.
Alongside captain Reece James, he has held discussions with the club’s hierarchy about strengthening the squad.
“We spoke to the owners and they’re sure of the players that are going to do it,” Palmer said.
“Reece won’t sign a six-year contract if he’s not spoken to the owners and the directors.
“Me and Reece spoke a lot, about things we need, players we need to sign and how things need to be. He wouldn’t sign a new contract if he didn’t know what was going on.”

A top-five finish would secure a return to Europe’s top competition and, as Palmer pointed out, strengthen the club’s position in the transfer market.
