Season 7 of Unexpected has been extremely hard for many viewers to watch, and fans have called for TLC to cancel it. Yet, this is not the first time that this has happened with the teen pregnancy series. Cast member Bella Vaughn took to social media to declare that almost everything fans saw was fake. However, Amya’s mother, Mama G, stepped up and slammed all of this, but what does she have to say about the controversial show? Keep reading for all of the details.
Bella Vaughn Claims The Show Is ‘Fake’
Unexpected features four families this season, one of them being Bella Vaughn and her boyfriend, Hunter Johnson. Viewers are struggling with him as he was only thirteen when his son, Wes, was born. Furthermore, his father, Casey, was portrayed as a deadbeat, but now that appears to be a lie. That being said, Bella has taken to social media to declare that the show is all “fake.” The only things that were real for her story were her C-section and Hunter’s dad standing him up. She noted that it is reality television, so what do people expect?
Bella, with her equally controversial mother, Falen, by her side, had this to say about how she was portrayed:
“I went on the show to share my story. I was not aware that it was going to be fake. So fake, to the point where all the hate I’m getting is because I said something I had to say. [Producers] just kind of threw us out to the wolves. They didn’t tell us what would happen.”
However, Amya’s mother, Misty “Mama G” Georgeff, is singing a completely different tune than the Arkansas-based Bella. She went on live on her own social media to correct the narrative and said this:
“It is not scripted! Whoever is saying that is trying to cover their own ass for s**t!”

Mama G clarified what Unexpected producers do, and that can be “stage” things, such as dates. They may also ask specific questions. Yet, nothing is “fake,” as Bella and Falen are alleging, and Mama G made that very clear.
Whose Side Are Viewers On?
Unexpected viewers have always favored Mama G over Falen Vaughn. They think she is wiser and more relatable, while Falen enables teenage sex. So, after hearing both sides, whose were they on? They had this to say about Bella and Falen:
- Hmmm I seem to remember Bella’s parents bragging about how all the haters would make them famous. Guess you got the wrong kind of famous, huh?
- They are obviously trying to backpedal for the custody case. But, even if they were told to discuss the “s*x life” of a child, they agreed to do it for money. That’s not much better.
As for Mama G, it was a very different tune:
- i love her i’d trust her w my life
- She’s the only one I’d trust with my kids
- I would watch a series with you in it! Your true but entrusting. Like going 2 your neighbor’s 4 coffee.
