Unexpected fans have taken to Misty “Mama G” Georgeff and how she is helping to raise Amya, her boyfriend, Jose, and their son, Sam. Yet, in the latest episode, eagle-eyed viewers noticed where Amya lived and had some questions. Keep reading for more details.
Mama G Is A Hit
It has been hard to find parents on Unexpected that are decent, especially in Season 7. Mia Quebedeaux and her father, Keith, are fan favorites. Viewers think that he is reasonable and is working hard to keep her and her boyfriend, Jessie, in line. Moreover, he wants to raise them right and with boundaries, which is something lacking in other families. The same goes for Las Vegas, Nevada-based Mama G, whose daughter is Amya. She had a baby with Jose, and it is vital that he learns responsibility. Jose has moved in with Amya and her mother, but he works part-time as a busser.
Therefore, he is required to turn over some of his paycheck to Mama G every week. However, one fan noticed that Amya’s place of residence was at her grandfather’s home. That was interesting, given that Mama G is all about responsibility and independence. Plus, it was never mentioned that they lived with anyone else. Immediately, this was taken to Reddit to try to figure out what the reasoning was and if there was more to the story. Soon enough, someone chimed in with the alleged answer. It seems that they were temporarily living there during filming because they were between homes.
Another added that they had to move during the season to get away from Mama G’s ex. Sammy was born prior to them being able to find a new home, but fortunately, Amya’s grandfather lived in the same complex as they did. Therefore, it was an easy move for the Unexpected family at the time. It is clear that Mama G is just trying to do what is best for her grandson. She wants stability and for Amya and Jose to both be responsible for their baby.
Working On Themselves
Amya was seen trying to improve herself, as she did not like the weight she had gained while pregnant. The Unexpected star was taking positive steps toward getting healthier by enlisting a trainer. Mama G said that viewers would have to wait and see what steps she takes, as well. So, it seems that they are on a great path, and fans can continue following their journey via social media.
