The Toronto Raptors have recorded their first win of the 2026 National Basketball Association playoffs. On Thursday, the Raptors pounded the Cleveland Cavaliers 126-104 in game three of the Eastern Conference quarterfinals from the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Ontario. The Cavaliers still lead the best out of seven first round series two games to one.
Five Raptors reached double digits in points. Canadian small forward RJ Barrett of Toronto co-led the way with 33 points. Power forward Scottie Barnes also had 33 points as he had the double-double, with 11 assists. Meanwhile, 2025 first round pick and power forward Collin Murray-Boyles had 22 points off the bench, small forward Jamison Battle had 14 points off the bench, and small forward Brandon Ingram had 12 points.
It was the fourth quarter that was the Raptors’s most impressive period. They outscored the Cavaliers 43-23. After three quarters, the game was actually very close. The Raptors led the Cavaliers 83-81.
The Raptors were a 2.5 point underdog heading into game three. In the first two games of the series, the Cavaliers won quite handily by scores of 126-113 and 115-105. Game four of the series will be on Sunday in Toronto. The game will take place at 1pm ET with the Raptors having the chance to tie the series.
