Team Canada has improved to a record of four wins and zero losses at the 2026 World Mixed Doubles Curling Championships from the Geneva Sous-Moulin Sports Center in Geneva, Switzerland. In a statement win on Monday, Canada defeated Italy 6-5 in extra ends.
The Canadian team of Kadriana and Colton Lott of Selkirk, Manitoba entered the ninth end without the hammer but stole a point to get the win. The Canadians got their stolen point when Italy’s Stefania Constantini missed in her double runback takeout attempt.
The Canada game against Italy was possibly the biggest game of the day as both teams headed into the match undefeated at three wins and zero losses. Canada is now one of only two teams undefeated at the 2026 World Mixed Doubles Curling Championships. The other is Australia, as the Australian duo of Tahli Gill and Dean Hewitt are at five wins and zero losses.
Canada’s win over Italy, should give the Lotts a boost of confidence. That is because Constantini and Amos Mosaner have an excellent mixed doubles curling resume. They teamed up to win gold at the 2022 Olympic Winter Games in Beijing and the 2025 World Mixed Doubles Curling Championships in Fredericton, New Brunswick. On Tuesday, Canada will face Hungary (2-2) and Scotland (2-2).
