Bravo’s Real Housewives franchise has a terrible record of ruining marriages, especially if a vow renewal ceremony is filmed. RHOBH stars PK and Dorit Kemsley are in the middle of a nasty divorce. He opened up about the show’s role in the end of their marriage. Keep reading to find out what he had to say.
Dorit Kemsley & Kyle Richards Both Split From Husbands
Dorit Kemsley and Kyle Richards have starred on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills together for years. You would think they were close friends. However, Kyle Richards publicly denied that they were more than just co-stars, sparking a falling out in their friendship.
Kyle Richards announced her separation from Mauricio Umansky in 2023 after 27 years of marriage. Dorit Kemsley and her husband, PK, separated a year later. Kyle and Mauricio aren’t together but have made no moves toward legally ending their marriage. On the other hand, Dorit filed for divorce in 2025 after photos surfaced online of her estranged husband with another woman.
The life-changing events didn’t bring Kyle and Dorit together. It causes an even deeper divide, especially after Kyle seemed to take PK’s side in the split and remained friendly with him. Their issues came to a head during Season 15.
PK Kemsley Opens Up About RHOBH Role In Dorit Divorce
Dorit and PK Kemsley dealt with a lot of issues on RHOBH, including a devastating robbery that left her traumatized. Cracks in their marriage showed through the years, but their split was still a surprise. Sadly, their two kids are caught in the crossfire.
The Real Housewives franchise has a notorious track record for ending marriages. But was the Bravo show the reason why they split? PK Kemsley gave a rare interview Paul C. Brunson’s We Need to Talk podcast. The British talent agent said they had a happy life before RHOBH.
“There’s no question that before we did that [show] … If you talk about happy times, I remember living in Tribeca, we had a beautiful apartment, and then we had the baby, and life was pretty f**king good,” he said.
He didn’t directly blame the show, but wondered what life would have been like if they hadn’t signed on to the Bravo show.
“I think the biggest question that I have that will never be answered is that, is Dorit where she was always going to be and always going to end up, or was I responsible for putting her in that world and then that world created what happened now?” he wondered.
PK Kemsley added, “The show likes to go back and only talk about bad things. They build up this vision of who you are as a person, as a couple, and then you start repeating it.”
