Events to commemorate May Day, also known as International Workers’ Day, are being put on by organizations affiliated with and bankrolled by billionaires, according to a Fox News Digital investigation.

Around 600 groups with a combined annual revenue of about $2 billion have organized roughly 3,000 demonstrations and events across the country Friday to demonstrate the day that highlights the contributions and struggles of the working class.

The core of the mobilization is a network of communist, socialist, Marxist and other left-leaning organizations, some of which are funded by billionaires, the very antithesis of the working class, the investigation found.

The California Democratic Party, which includes billionaire donors and billionaire gubernatorial candidate Tom Steyer, is promoting “Workers over Billionaires May Day rally” protests.

Some groups are led by chapters of the Democratic Socialists of America and a network of groups funded by an American businessman and self-described socialist, Neville Roy Singham, who is linked to the Chinese Communist Party. This includes the People’s Forum, the Party for Socialism and Liberation, ANSWER Coalition and Code Pink.

Mr. Singham, who lives in Shanghai, is funneling an estimated $278 million into the groups driving street mobilizations in the U.S., such as the May Day demonstrations and No Kings protests.

Indivisible, one of the largest Democratic Party-aligned grassroots networks, has at least 200 chapters promoting May Day events. The organization has received millions from billionaire philanthropist George Soros.

The May Day Strong coalition issued a press release sent by Adolfo Flores, a public relations expert at On Point, a media relations firm that has worked on behalf of the Illinois Federation of Teachers, which partners with the Democratic Party, according to the investigation.

He said that more than 3,000 May Day events will mobilize workers and students under the banner “Workers Over Billionaires” protesting an “authoritarian billionaire takeover of government.”

The Global May Day manifesto looks to amplify the working class, stating, “It is our day to remind ourselves that we, the workers of the world, hold the power and will inherit the earth. One day soon, the centuries-long class war will end and the united workers of the world shall be victorious.”
