Various figures have come out to weigh in on the ongoing feud between President Donald Trump and Jimmy Kimmel. This includes figures on both sides of the argument, with some even having surprising sympathies. Recently, this has included Candace Owens, who admitted that she wasn’t too happy about the situation.
Candace Owens Discussed The Feud During A YouTube Livestream
Owens is a political commentator who is often described as being conservative or far-right. She has worked with various outlets over the years, including Turning Point USA, PragerU, and The Daily Wire.
During a recent YouTube livestream, Owens discussed the ongoing Trump-Kimmel feud. Things had sparked when the talk show host joked that First Lady Melania Trump had “a glow like an expectant widow,” prior to the White House Correspondents’ Dinner.
Following this, both the president and the first lady have called for Kimmel’s firing. Since then, various figures have weighed in on the story, from Rob Schneider to Ted Cruz.
On her end, Owens recently shared, “They’re going after Jimmy Kimmel, which I’m again angry at this [since it] is the second time that they’re going to make me defend Jimmy Kimmel. They are trying to assert … that it’s actually Jimmy Kimmel’s joke that is to blame for the White House Correspondents’ incident.”
There Has Been Some Discourse Between President Donald Trump & Candace Owens
Owens, however, admitted a bit of reluctance, as she felt this behavior was something she would normally expect from Kimmel and defend others from. She explained, “Trump would make a joke about something and then they’d all get out and pretend it was super serious. It’s ironic because Jimmy Kimmel was a part of that syndicate of people that did this.”
“And I said, ‘No.’ And I couldn’t stand Jimmy Kimmel. I still really don’t like Jimmy Kimmel, but they’re flipping it now on its head and they’re Jimmy Kimmel-ing it!”
As previously reported, there has also been some discourse between Owens and Trump over the past weeks. For example, Owens was notably one figure Trump denounced by name in a recent Truth Social post, which also named Tucker Carlson, Megyn Kelly, and Alex Jones.

Continuing her more recent share, despite admitting that she wasn’t too fond of Kimmel, Owens continued, “They’re doing the thing where they pretend that a joke is existential. A clear and obvious joke is existential and now the source of shootings. That’s that. This happened because Jimmy Kimmel made a joke.”
