The Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow witnessed a memorable IPL 2026 clash as Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) edged past Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) by 9 runs via the DLS method in a rain-affected contest.

Prince Yadav’s magical delivery uproots Virat Kohli

The biggest moment of the match arrived early in RCB’s innings when young pacer Prince Yadav produced an absolute beauty to dismiss Virat Kohli. After beginning the over with an outswinger that Kohli defended comfortably, Prince came back with a sharp inswinger clocked at 140.4 kmph. The delivery pitched on a good length before jagging back viciously through the gate, crashing into the off-stump and leaving Kohli completely stunned.

The Ekana crowd erupted as Kohli departed for a rare two-ball duck, his first duck in an IPL chase in more than 1,100 days. Interestingly, Prince later revealed that he had used advice given by Kohli himself after an earlier encounter.

Prince shines with a splendid spell for LSG

Apart from the prized wicket of Kohli, Prince delivered a superb spell with the ball and finished with impressive figures of 3/33 in his four overs. He consistently troubled the RCB batters with pace, movement, and clever variations, striking at crucial moments to halt the momentum of the chase. His spell proved decisive as LSG managed to restrict RCB to 203/6 despite a strong fightback from the middle order.
