Is a new episode of Unexpected on tonight, May 11th, and will there be a tell-all coming up soon? Season 7 was supposed to air the season finale on April 27th, but then a preview for another episode popped up. It was very confusing for fans, so what is the status? Keep reading for more details on what is going on with the hit TLC reality series.
Is Unexpected Over For The Season?
Season 7 of Unexpected was extremely controversial as there was a thirteen year old father. Hunter Johnson met Bella Vaughn when he was ten, and she was twelve. That was when they began dating, and by the time he was twelve, he found out he was to be a dad. Within four days of her having their son, they were already sexually active again. Amya and Jose were both sixteen, but she had previously only dated women, so she had never gotten a proper birds and the bees chat. Jessie and Mia were also sixteen and seemed to be very level-headed, but had their own familial struggles.
Finally, an eighteen-year-old couple, Isabella Leal-Stone and Bryce Palmer, were estranged when their daughter was born. He was not even on the birth certificate, but they did ultimately reconcile. Now, it was known for most of the season that there would not be a tell-all. There has not been one since Season 5, but TLC did do an update episode where they went ahead 10 months. Mia and Jessie were still living together, but lost their home to a fire while Isabella and Bryce got engaged. She was not speaking to her mother, while Amya and Jose had split.
She is now dating a woman, but he is still living with her, Sammy, and Mama G. Finally, Hunter’s dad got custody of him and was fighting to get his son, Wes, as well. The proceedings have been sealed for the time being, but it was rough for Bella and Wes whenever Hunter was away. Unexpected has opted to make that episode the Season 7 finale and essentially the tell-all. Therefore, that is all for the season, which is sad for the fans.
What Is Next?
There will be a Season 8 of Unexpected as they have put out a casting call. It is unclear if any of the current cast will be a part of it, but there are some more updates. Louisiana couple Mia and Jessie have since gotten engaged, as have Bella and Hunter. As for what will take its place, 90 Day: The Single Life will be two hours long instead of one for the time being. Hopefully, it is not another two-year wait between Unexpected seasons.
