Pop star Britney Spears seems to be frustrated by accusations that she was acting erratically at a restaurant less than a month after she pled guilty to reckless driving following her DUI arrest. The “…Baby One More Time” singer was arrested in early March under suspicion of driving under the influence. In the weeks following her arrest, she voluntarily checked into a rehab facility to seek treatment.
Britney Spears Was Reportedly Acting Erratically During A Night Out
On Wednesday, the “Oops!… I Did It Again” singer was seen dining at the Blue Dog Tavern in Sherman Oaks. Eyewitnesses there told TMZ that she was raising her voice, screaming, barking, and acting erratically. One witness even alleged that she walked past their table holding a knife, as if she had forgotten to set it down.
Another claimed that staff had to intervene when she was smoking a cigarette near the door and had to ask her companion to ask her to put it out. It is unclear who Britney was dining with, as they were only described as a man. However, it’s possible that she was dining with one of her two sons: Sean Preston, 20, or Jayden James, 19.
Witnesses claim that the singer ate a burger and fries, but really only picked at the fries, and left with plenty of food still on the table. One claimed that it looked like she had left a mess at her table before she left and was reportedly taken home by her security team. Sources claim that they didn’t even realize that they were dining with the Princess of Pop until she had already left.
Britney Spears’ Rep Responds To Restaurant Allegations

On Thursday, Britney’s rep made a short statement to Entertainment Weekly, alleging that the events described in the initial report were “completely blown out of proportion.”
“Britney was enjoying a quiet dinner with her assistant and bodyguard. She was simply telling the story about how her dog was barking at the neighbors,” the rep said to explain why the pop star was making barking noises at her table.
“At no point did she put anyone in danger with a knife. She was cutting her hamburger in half,” the statement continued. “This constant attack on everything that she does and this is exactly what happened 20 years ago when the media tried to depict Britney as a bad person. This is ridiculous and it needs to stop now.”
The outlet reached out to the Blue Dog Tavern, where Britney was dining, but has yet to receive a response.
Britney Spears Said She Was On A ‘Spiritual Journey’

In a now-deleted Instagram post, the singer shared a photo of a small albino Burmese python coiled in her outstretched palm. “Went to the pet store with my kids and look at what a beautiful baby snake this is,” she wrote in the caption. “Snakes are symbolic of good health, higher consciousness, and pure luck.”
“I’m so damn thankful to my friends and so many new beautiful people I have met through my spiritual journey,” she continued, calling all of her recent challenges “a blessing in disguise.”
“I still have to learn how to be kind to myself and the way I speak to myself… It’s a never-ending journey and sometimes I just stop, look up, and say, ‘Wow, God, I think that was you’ and smile on!!!!” she concluded, ending the post on an optimistic note.
Britney Spears Was Arrested On Suspicion Of Driving Under The Influence

On March 4, the “Gimme More” singer was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence. She was booked and released the following day. In the weeks following her arrest, she voluntarily entered a rehab facility to seek treatment. On April 30, she was officially charged with a DUI. At the time, officials stated that she would be offered a wet reckless deal because she had no prior DUI history and was not involved in a car accident.
She was not required to appear in person at her May 4 arraignment; instead, her attorney, Michael A. Goldstein, attended on her behalf, per PEOPLE magazine. Britney was sentenced to 12 months of summary probation and one day in jail, which was credited as time served.
In addition, she paid a $571 fine and was ordered to attend a three-month DUI program, during which drivers complete 30 hours of class. As part of the plea deal, the “Crossroads” actress also agreed to counseling with a psychologist once a week and a psychiatrist twice a month.
