Fox News was in China to cover current events concerning President Trump. However, things took a surprising turn when the team got stuck with a parking ticket. However, this wasn’t the only moment the crew shared with viewers. This also takes place amid the president’s own state visit within the country.

President Donald Trump Recently Met With Chinese Leader Xi Jinping

President Donald Trump recently made a two-day trip to China, lasting from May 13 to 15. During the visit, he was received by Chinese leader Xi Jinping.

This was Trump’s second state visit to the country and the first during his second presidency. This took place almost nine years after his last visit in 2017. Following the visit, the United States Department of Commerce approved ten Chinese companies, with China agreeing to order 200 airplanes from Boeing.

Meanwhile, Fox News’ Bret Baier was also in the country, hosting a Special Report segment discussing the abundance of security cameras in Beijing. In a surprising turn of events, the crew ended up getting a parking ticket while in the country.

Fox News’ Bret Baier Also Shared A Segment Where He Met A Store Robot

Baier attributed the ticket to the proliferation of cameras in the area. As he shared, “In fact, our driver parked illegally for two minutes, and he got a message on his phone that he got a ticket for about forty bucks U.S. because they saw it on the camera.”

Baier continued, “We’re outside the Haidian Station, and I can count at least twenty on this corner. In fact, in Beijing, they have added 1,500 cameras just this year alone. They see everything. There is nobody jaywalking here because they could get a ticket right away.”

Baier later noted, “These cameras are watching every minute. They’re everywhere.” As he explained, “Our driver parked illegally for two minutes and he got a message on his phone that he got a ticket for about 40 bucks U.S., because they saw it on the camera.”

Political commentator Li Jingjing also shared a video of Baier in the area. During this video, other commentators noted that he appeared to be in the middle of heavy traffic while working on the segment.

While Fox News is complaining they got a ticket for illegal parking … this is what his team is doing:

However, the crew also shared a few other moments while in the country. Baier also visited a convenience store and ordered a sausage from a robot, with a segment focusing on AI “workers” in Beijing. Going inside, he shared that this was the “first of its kind for this kind of interaction.”
