Dick Christie has been part of The Bold and the Beautiful for years. Appearing off and on over the years, he was announced to be making his most recent return to the soap. Notably, this takes place as another character is said to be lurking around Forrester Creations.

Christie is an actor best known for playing Ted Lawson on the 1980s sitcom, Small Wonder. Over the years, he has often appeared in various soap operas.
These include Days of Our Lives and the primetime soap Knots Landing. In 2013, he took on the recurring role of Charlie Webber on The Bold and the Beautiful.
Charlie was introduced as a security guard on the soap. During his time on the soap, the character later started a relationship with Pamela Douglas. In 2018, the two characters got engaged. However, the two characters have not yet walked down the aisle.
Christie made his last appearance on the soap in April 2025. However, it’s been announced that he would return during the week of May 18.
Throughout his appearances, Charlie often serves as a comic relief figure, but the characters often make use of his security skills. During one of his more recent appearances on the soap, in 2023, Charlie told Ridge Forrester about R.J.’s arrival after years around the world. The previous year, he also came in handy when helping characters get access to security footage.

Charlie’s most recent return to the soap involves him facing off against an intruder. He is on the job to catch Christian Weissmann’s Remy Pryce, who has been lurking around the Forrester building. He had been described as appearing in the Monday and Tuesday episodes. Of course, fans will have to stay tuned in to see what happens next on the soap.
Speaking with Soap Opera Digest, the actor shared some insight into his character. As Christie describes him, Charlie “considers himself to be the Renaissance man of security guards. He’s got instant total recall of any diamond heist that happened in the last 100 years and can detail it chapter and verse, whether you want to hear it or not.”
During the conversation, Christie also shared a joke for animation fans. As he continued, “If you had to describe him in a sentence, it would be, ‘A cross between Cliff the mailman on Cheers and any of Patrick Warburton’s [Family Guy] characters.’”
According to The Independent, fans of the soap have shared that they were happy to see the comic relief character make his return. Some comments included:
