Kelly Ripa Shared Her Story During A Behind-The-Scenes Clip From Live With Kelly & Mark
Ripa and Consuelos first met while working on the soap opera, All My Children, in 1995. Not only did their characters fall in love with each other, but the two eventually fell in love and married in real life. The two now share three adult children together.
However, many now know the couple best for Live with Kelly and Mark. Ripa joined the talk show in 2001, with Consuelos joining her as a permanent co-host in 2023.
In a recent behind-the-scenes social media clip from a recent episode of their show, Ripa talked to the audience about when she first left her spouse alone with their kids when they were still little. This took place when her youngest, Joaquin, wasn’t even a year old.
Some Fans Felt That They Could Relate To Ripa’s Share, While Others Shared Different Stories
A caption described the situation as “the first time Kelly left Mark alone with the kids.” That said, Ripa shared that Consuelos did have some support, noting, “We were shooting this show in Chicago. Joaquin was like 6 months old. I hired babysitters to work in 8-hour shifts, like nurses.”
However, Ripa was surprised when one helper gave her some feedback. She shared, “When I came home, two days later, the last babysitter was on shift. She said to me, ‘You can’t die, because he doesn’t know where anything is.’” Nodding her head, Rip continued, “So, I was like, good note. My god, I can’t die!”
