Heartbreaking news just came out that 90 Day Fiance fan favorite Jenny Slatten was diagnosed with ALS. She had felt strange symptoms coming on, but was unsure what it was. Finally, she received final confirmation, and now she is navigating her new normal. With that, a GoFundMe has been started to aid her along the way. Keep reading for more details.
Jenny Slatten’s Life Has Been Forever Changed
90 Day Fiance fans have watched Jenny Slatten’s journey to see if she and Sumit Singh were meant to be. He initially had catfished Jenny, but they soon realized that there was true love behind the lies and a thirty-year age difference. They did not care that she was 30 years his senior or that he resided in Delhi, India. Jenny soon found a way to relocate, which fans watched play out, plus they saw Sumit’s family react to her, and it was a constant challenge. Somehow, they made it work and have been going strong for several years now.
Ahead of their stint on the 90 Day spinoff, The Last Resort, Jenny revealed her ALS diagnosis. Fans had noticed that something was off and wondered if it was a stroke. However, she disputed that, but saw that she was struggling with basic things to the point that she refused to talk. As she is accepting her new life, there is a heavy price tag, so a friend of hers has started up a GoFundMe. The goal is $250K, and they have over 400 donations. As of the morning of May 22nd, it has raised close to $15K, with many anonymous donors.
In the description of the GoFundMe, here is what Jenny Slatten will need:
“The primary purpose of this fundraiser is to help cover Jenny’s growing medical expenses, including mobility equipment such as a walker and wheelchair, in-home nursing or caregiver support, and future hospital and treatment costs. Medication alone for 1 year will exceed $200,000.”
