Jenna Bush Hager Discussed Recently Getting To Interview Multiple Powerful Figures, From Former Presidents To Queen Camilla
Jenna first joined Today as a contributor and correspondent in 2009. Eventually, she would become part of the show’s fourth hour, working alongside Hoda Kotb, Sheinelle Jones, and a number of guest co-hosts.
However, Jenna has also shared a lot with fans on social media. Recently, she looked back on how far she has come with her career.
As previously reported, Jenna has recently met with various prominent figures, including Queen Camilla and living presidents. While Jenna is herself the daughter of the 43rd U.S. president, George W. Bush, she admitted to overcoming feelings of nervousness during these moments.
In a recent post on Instagram, Jenna shared, “Remember that feeling of sweaty palms and butterfly-inducing nerves? The feeling before starting a new school, walking into a job interview, or trying something that scares you just a little bit?!”
Jenna continued, “These past few months, I’ve found myself craving that nauseating, yet addictive, feeling of trying something new (including interviewing Her Majesty Queen Camilla, sitting down with four former presidents, and speaking with the cast of The Devil Wears Prada 2!!!!).” Notably, Jenna made a cameo in the movie.
Jenna Also Touched More On Why She Shared Her Childhood Photo During A Substack Share
Noting that she also talked about this on Substack, Jenna noted, “The feeling of uncomfortableness for just a moment before falling in love with the pride that comes from trying something new, and how important it is to keep seeking out those moments no matter how old we get.”
The carousel post featured Jenna sitting down to interview and speak with a number of these figures. However, the final photo was a personal throwback: an old school photo with her in glasses, long before she started her broadcast career.
On her Substack, Jenna also explained more about why she shared her childhood photo. As she explained, I wanted to feel it, to prove to myself that the little girl who moved to seven schools throughout her education – including moving in the middle of the seventh grade!!! – is still there. Maybe she exchanged her blunt bangs for a… bob, but her confidence and boldness (even if FAKE!) are still present.”
