News just broke that 90 Day Fiance couple, Patrick Mendes and Thais Ramone, had split. Not only that, but he was seeking sole custody of their daughter, Aleesi Ramone Mendes. A Sad Ending For Patrick & Thais
90 Day Fiance viewers watched as Patrick Mendes and Thais Ramone made their first appearance. He headed to Brazil to get to know his paternal side, plus joined a dating app to find someone he could pursue while teaching him Portuguese. That was when he met Thais, and they quickly fell in love. Patrick proposed within a year, and she soon moved to America. What she did not know was that he had a very involved brother, John McManus, and there was a lot of tension. The two did tie the knot and went on to welcome a daughter, Aleesi.
Although they seemed happy, there were some ups and downs. Patrick and Thais are set to appear on Season 3 of The Last Resort, but fans know how it will end. He has filed for divorce and wants sole custody of their daughter. The same day that the news went live regarding the filing, Thais was arrested for domestic battery. As of now, it is unclear who the battery was against, but her charge was Domestic Battery: First Offense. Additionally, Thais’ bond was $3K, and she was able to post that to be released.
The 90 Day Fiance couple has been married for four years, but after just three years, they went on The Last Resort. It was filmed in April 2025 in England. The reasoning for Patrick Mendes and Thais Ramone going on the show was to “work on their intimacy and address Thais’ continuous requests to move back to her home country of Brazil before she moves without him.”
Was This A Set-Up?
Initially, some 90 Day Fiance fans believed that this was all staged to promote The Last Resort. If they really appeared to be having problems, maybe viewers would want to tune in:
- Hmmm…right as the last resort is about to start airing…smells like a wind up and he will withdraw the papers shortly…
Others believed that Patrick Mendes did all he could to make Thais Ramone happy, but it was never enough:
- She has always behaved like a spoiled brat while he did everything he could to appease
her. I also wouldn’t trust her to not leave the country with the baby. Smfh - Whatever is going on it sounds chaotic af, hope the kid is in a stable situation
