Amazon has signed a major deal with the NBA to begin streaming numerous NBA games on Prime Video in the 2026-2027 season.
As part of this 11-year global agreement with the NBA, “NBA on Prime Video” will debut in October and include:
- 67 regular season games
- Emirates NBA Cup 2026
- All 6 games from the 2027 Play-In Tournament
- Exclusive coverage of first- and second-round NBA Playoff games
- Exclusive Conference Finals series in six of the 11 years of the deal (starting in the 2027 season).
The NBA schedule for the 2026-2027 season will be shared at a later date. Because this deal doesn’t include every NBA game, you’ll still need to watch others through Sportsnet and/or TSN subscriptions. (It should be noted that both of these can be added as Prime Video Channels.)
Additionally, Prime Video has expanded its WNBA partnership with an 11-year agreement that includes dozens of games and other coverage. This NBA programming comes two years after Prime Video became the Canadian home of Monday Night Hockey through a major NHL deal.
The Prime Video news comes out of Amazon Upfront 2026 in Toronto where other Canadian Prime Video programming was confirmed, including new titles from Michael Bublé, Drew Scott and Jacob Tierney. Check out our round-up for more.
