Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani have been together for over a decade. Split rumors have followed them nearly the entire time. The rumors heated up last month. The couple is reportedly tired of online rumors about their relationship. The country star shut down divorce rumors in an epic way. Keep reading to find out what he did to quiet the haters.
Speculation Heated Up About Gwen Stefani & Country Star’s Marriage
Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton both have failed marriages in their past. Her marriage to rocker Gavin Rossdale lasted nearly 13 years. Meanwhile, his marriage to country singer Miranda Lambert only lasted four short years. Coincidentally, the stars were going through divorces at the same time while appearing as judges on NBC’s The Voice.
The country star and the pop princess bonded over their failed marriages and friendship quickly turned to romance. They went public with their relationship in 2015 but it took six years before they walked down the aisle. The couple married in 2021.
Divorce rumors have followed them ever since. Their different backgrounds play a role in the rumors. Few can believe that Blake Shelton could land a bombshell like Gwen Stefani. He doesn’t even believe it himself most of the time. But the rumors heated up earlier this month.
Gwen Stefani reunited with No Doubt for a Las Vegas residency at The Sphere. The first show was on May 6, but her husband was nowhere to be found. His alleged lack of support set the internet ablaze with speculation of trouble in paradise.
Blake Shelton Shuts Down Divorce Rumors In Epic Way
Blake Shelton actually was somewhere to be found when No Doubt debuted at The Sphere. He was right down the road in Las Vegas. The country singer headlined his own residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace. But due to poor scheduling, the two residencies overlapped, leaving him without the option to support his wife’s epic reunion with No Doubt.

But Blake Shelton finally got a chance to take in the show. He attended The Sphere on May 23, one day before his Las Vegas residency wrapped up for good. “Memorial Day Weekend, Blake Shelton is here,” Gwen Stefani announced to a packed audience.
The country crooner joked to PEOPLE magazine earlier this year about the conflicting residencies. “That’ll be interesting because I’ll be in direct competition with my wife. I’m excited about that because I know there’ll be probably a little bit of trash talking,” he said at the time.
But he left the trash talking behind after finally attending the show. He shut down divorce rumors by showing his support for Gwen Stefani. “So proud of my wife @gwenstefani and the @nodoubt guys for working their asses off and putting on this hell of a show.. finally got a night off to see it.. un-freakin-real,” he wrote in a social media post.
What She’s Said About It
Blake Shelton shut down divorce rumors in a subtle way. But Gwen Stefani faced the rumors head-on in 2024. “When you’re in love and have truly aligned values, nobody can get to us. You can say whatever you want to say about our relationship — I mean, a week ago we were getting divorced again or something. It’s just lies. The truth is the truth, and we know what that is,” she told Nylon magazine about the constant online rumors about their marriage.
