Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum Teddi Mellencamp has been through a nightmare with her cancer journey. What started as stage 2 melanoma metastasized into lung and brain cancer. Now, the mother of three is sharing a “lonely” and emotional cancer update. So, where does she stand four years later? Keep reading for what she had to say.
Teddi Mellencamp Can’t Stay Positive
As much as Teddi Mellencamp wants to keep her head up, it is a very hard task. The former reality star had been diagnosed with melanoma in 2022. This led to her back being consistently cut up in an attempt to get it all out as it was a repeat occurence. She had 17 melanomas cut out and then, in early 2025, horrid headaches sent her to the hospital, where they discovered brain tumors. Teddi soon learned she had brain and lung cancer as the melanoma had metastasized. She is a fighter, and she did all she could so she could be there for her children.
Now, four years after Teddi’s initial diagnosis, she was preparing to head to see her doctor. She was heading for a CAT scan and MRI, which she had been getting monthly, along with doing immunotherapy. However, her doctors recently opted to go three to four months between, and Teddi was terrified:
“This has created such a nervous, raging anxiety inside of me. … I just keep crying.”
Although she wanted to believe that everything would be okay, she couldn’t do so:
“I wanna be like those people that just say they’re positive all the time, but I’m really scared. It’s also like really lonely, guys. And I’ve just hit that point where I’m just like exhausted.”
Yet, when Teddi Mellencamp went to the doctor, there was nothing but incredible news all around. There were no signs of cancer in her body, which was something she had waited such a long time to hear. They explained that her body responded well to the treatment, and it shows, but what is not there is cancer. As for whether or not she is in remission, she has “had the best outcome we could hope for.”
A Celebratory Occasion
After RHOBH fans and followers learned of Teddi Mellencamp’s amazing news, they were beyond thrilled. Everyone wanted to celebrate that she was on the other side of these awful four years:
