hey, nothing have announced their new album, Hound, out Aug. 21 via Music Soup/Interscope Records — their major-label debut.
Hound is a journey to find themselves as both musicians and friends after a grueling touring schedule and living together began to cause friction. After stepping back, they rebuilt their relationship and reconnected with their passion for music.

“I look at Hound as a big learning curve and confidence boost,” Harlow Phillips says. “This is what we want to create. This is how we want it to sound.”
“We made it through those first few fever-dream years of touring and releasing music,” Tyler Mabry adds. “Now we’re asking: What now? Who are we? That’s what we’re finding out.”
Coinciding with the announcement is “Arteries,” the closing song on Hound that captures a pivotal moment when the band realized change was necessary to move forward. The video, directed by Spencer Kelly, represents their belief that they would remain connected.
“The ‘Arteries’ music video represents our forever-growing (and glowing) friendship and commitment toward one another,” they explain. “We wanted to visualize that we’d be strung together in every universe. Even if that universe is a generationally ambiguous fever dream with robbers and seizures and basketball.”
