The Korea Tourism Organization says those visiting Korea can easily pamper themselves during their Korean vacations.

The KTO’s Hillary Nguyen told a recent Toronto gathering that Korea has plenty of luxury hotels for those seeking an upscale vacation.

“Korea is home to incredible luxury accommodations with outstanding architecture, amenities and world-class service,” she told those on hand.

Among upscale hotel companies that have a Korean presence are Four Seasons and InterContinental.

But Nguyen also noted there are “renowned Korean brands” — such as Grand Josun, LOTTE and Shilla — that also offer high-end hotel stays, and those interested in a partciularly Korean lodging experience can opt for a luxury hanok-style hotel that provides an “immersive and unique cultural experience.”

    Hanoks are traditional Korean homes.

Among hotels Nguyen singled out were the Shilla Seoul, which has a “sophisticated design that combines traditional Korean beauty with a modern sensibility.

Guests can enjoy the vast outdoor swimming pool with a view of the iconic N Seoul Tower and fine dining at La Yeona, a Michelin two-star restaurant.”

Elsewhere in the Korean capital, the Rakkojae Seoul began life as a house in the Korean capital in the 1880s and “holds true heritage and history. All the comforts of a modern hotel are included, such as breakfast, laundry service and even cellphone rentals.”

Guests will also find distinctly Korean touches, such as Korean tea ceremonies and opportunities to make the Korean staple dish kimchi.

The Paradise Busan — found in seaside Busan — was described as a “well-known leading hotel on Haeundae Beach that has been around for over 40 years. Overlooking the scenic beauty of the beach, the hotel allows guests to experience a memorable stay with panoramic views of the beach.”

Nguyen said Incheon’s INSPIRE Entertainment Resort opened as a luxury retreat in 2024 and is a “massive complex with five-star accommodations, an indoor water park, banquet hall and a multi-use performance area.”

Also found are upscale shopping and a casino.

Nguyen told the audience that Korea is also home to many “immersive art galleries and museums, from modern and contemporary art to traditional works that showcase the country’s history and culture.”

She also noted that Korea has numerous landmark attractions, including Changdeokgung Palace, one of 5 royal palaces in the Korean capital and which has earned UNESCO World Heritage Site Status.

Those interested in Korea’s past can visit the Jeonju Hanok Village, which features traditional Korean houses, a shrine and other attractions that create what Nguyen called a “nostalgic atmosphere.”

Nguyen also reminded guests that Korea is an extremely safe country that is also technologically advanced.
