The Paradox stopped by NPR’s Tiny Desk last week to play a six-song set as part of NPR’s celebration of Black Music Month.
“The Paradox is in the business of bringing rock ’n’ roll back to the originators,” vocalist Eric Dangerfield says before starting their song “Bender.” Their Tiny Desk appearance included “Good For Me,” their new single that dropped last month and began a new era for the band.

Included in the set were “Get the Message,” “Bender,” “Ms. Lauren,” and “Do Me Like That,” which they played after thanking everyone from their “momager” to Travis Barker. “As you can tell, we aren’t used to playing quiet,” Dangerfield says. “Big shout out to Travis Barker for playing on our record. He didn’t have to do that.”
Their Tiny Desk debut follows a series of major milestones for the Paradox, who just made history as the first all-Black group to reach No. 1 on Billboard’s Alternative Airplay chart, and they were selected for the YouTube Foundry Class of 2026, YouTube Music’s global artist development program supporting independent talent.
