Liverpool have signed Osasuna winger Victor Munoz on a long-term contract after paying his release clause of around £34m.
The 22-year-old is in the United States with the Spain squad for the World Cup.
He can play on either flank and was wanted by Newcastle to replace Anthony Gordon. Instead he has chosen Anfield.
He is Liverpool’s first signing since Andoni Iraola replaced Arne Slot as head coach earlier this month.
Munoz went to the storied La Masia academy at Barcelona, the city of his birth, and later joined Real Madrid’s youth team.
He left Madrid in July 2025 to join Osasuna and made his first appearance for Spain in March.
The 22-year-old enjoyed a breakout with Osasuna. He impressed with his speed and dribbling ability and earned a spot on a talent-packed Spain squad.
Liverpool said Munoz signed a “long-term contract” after completing a medical at Spain’s World Cup base in Tennessee.
