Cole Hauser originally brought Rip to life on Yellowstone and has continued his story on Dutton Ranch. During a recent episode of the series, Rip could be seen with a surprising new look. However, the moment comes with a bit of a twist.
The Cast Of Dutton Ranch Is Heading To A Party At The 10-Petal Ranch
As an actor, Hauser is known for a number of projects. This includes appearances in films like Dazed and Confused, Good Will Hunting, and 2 Fast 2 Furious.
For many Hauser, is best known for playing Rip Wheel on the Paramount Network series, Yellowstone. He has continued to play the character on the spin-off, Dutton Ranch.
In a recent clip from the show, which aired on June 19, “Den of Sin,” Rip, Beth, and Carter are all dressed up to attend a party. The big event will take place at the 10-Petal ranch, hosted by Beulah, who is played by Annette Bening.
Viewers have come to expect a certain look from Rip. His signature look usually features jeans, chaps and a Yellowstone jacket, which he has traded in for a dress shirt and jacket for the moment.
Rip & Co. Still Find A Way To Make An Entrance That’s A Bit More On-Brand
While in character, Hauser, as Rip, shares that his new look makes him “feel f—ing ridiculous.” Carter agrees, sharing, “You look f—ing ridiculous.” Rip feels that he’s in good company, adding, “That makes two of us,” with a laugh.
Later in the scene, Beth appears equally dressed up, complimenting the two, calling their looks “sharp.” However, she has another idea when Carter offers to drive them to the party. Instead, the group ride their horses over. Carter muses, “This is f—ing cowboy.”
Rip being out of his element is something of a recurring theme. Prior to the series’ debut in May, Hauser himself spoke with People about the series. At the time, he noted the show’s switch of location, going from Montana to Texas, was “like going to the moon for these characters.”
Of course, the party is just one element of the story. As teased by IMDB, a description of the episode reads, “A lavish 10 Petal celebration unfolds as Beulah commands the night with iron poise, while Beth and Rip navigate shifting loyalties, and Carter stumbles toward a breaking point.”
