Ryan Seacrest Shares Sad Tribute Post
With Father’s Day last weekend, many took time to spend with their dads. However, for those who no longer have a father around, this can be a hard day. As it turns out, Ryan Seacrest falls into the second category. Ryan lost his father, Gary Lee Seacres, in October of 2025. This was his first Father’s Day without his dad and it seems as though the TV personality is taking it hard.
He shared some sweet photos on Instagram writing “This was always one of dad’s favorites. He didn’t sing much but this one always did the trick. To my forever best friend, we miss you everyday. Happy Father’s Day.”
He added the song Drift Away to the post.
Ryan shared several photos of himself and his dad together as well as his dad spending time with the family. Their bond seems incredible and fans were sure to be supportive in the comments.

Ryan Talks About Family And His Book
Aside from his post in honor of his day, Ryan is also using social media to share some sweet family moments. As previously reported, he recently shared a photo of himself and his niece, Flora. The post in dediated to not only Flora, but the book he wrote with his sister back in 2024. The book, titled The Make Believers, which he says is about ‘confidence, curiosity, and dreaming big.’
The Make Believers was inpsired by the imaginary games he and his siblings used to play.
Of course, he shared some adorable photos of Flora along with it after she finished a sizeable math problem.
“Flora’s already solving math problems that completely humble us,” Ryan shares in the caption.
While he shares the highs and lows of his life it is pretty apparent that Ryan Seacrest is deeply comitted to his family.
