Whew, Roomies! TLC reality star and mom of 14, Karen Derrico, has been hit with criminal charges after allegedly making death threats toward her ex-husband, Deon Derrico, and some of their children. Fans may recognize the former couple from ‘Doubling Down with the Derricos,’ which followed their life with 14 kids.

Details About Karen Derrico’s Charges After Alleged Threats Toward Ex-Husband
According to TMZ, Las Vegas police arrested Karen Derrico, and she now faces several criminal charges. Prosecutors claim Karen directed alleged threats toward her ex-husband, Deon Derrico, and some of their children. Court documents obtained by TMZ show prosecutors charged her with harassment, violating a restraining order, aggravated stalking, and attempting to prevent a witness from testifying through threats of violence.
Prosecutors also claim Karen sent Deon multiple emails allegedly threatening to kill him and saying she didn’t care about going to jail. They further allege that she threatened to “kill any of the kids” who sided with Deon during their split and warned that she would kill him if he showed up to a court hearing involving the restraining order he filed against her. Deon reportedly filed a temporary restraining order against Karen in April. He also purportedly submitted a police report that included the threatening emails she reportedly sent.
Karen’s Attorney Speaks Out Amid Charges & Gives Update On Her Status
Karen’s attorney, Jess Marchese, claims Deon allegedly sent the threatening messages to himself and tried to pin them on Karen. Marchese also told TMZ that his team is working with tech experts to prove Deon actually wrote the messages. Karen continues to maintain her innocence and says she would never threaten or harm her children. Marchese added that Karen is currently out on a $2,000 bond and is wearing an ankle monitor.
Where Do The Derricos Stand Now?
Karen and Deon finalized their divorce in June 2024. Around that time, Karen hopped on Instagram and shared a video updating fans on how she and her children were adjusting to the major life change. She said the kids were doing “as good as they can be” and explained that she was focusing on self-care while navigating her new co-parenting journey with Deon. Karen and Deon share 14 children: Darian, Derrick, Dallas, Denver, Deonee, Daician, Daiten, Deniko, Dariz, Deiz, Dior, and triplets Dawsyn, De’Aren, and Dyver.
