Many viewers were introduced to Kim Zolciak and Kroy Biermann, a former linebacker for the Atlanta Falcons, from The Real Housewives of Atlanta. They and their family were also the focus of the spin-off, Don’t Be Tardy…, which ran for eight seasons. Following this, Zolciak returned to The Real Housewives of Atlanta‘s Season 15 on a recurring basis.
In 2023, Kim and Kroy, who were married in 2011, announced their plans to separate after over eleven years of marriage. In July of that year, the two had withdrawn their divorce filing, only to file a second time the following month.
Over the past few years, viewers have followed reports of discourse between the former couple. This has included a number of allegations Kim and Kroy have made against each other.
According to TMZ, Kim has filed new legal documents referencing a guardian put in place by the court for the couple’s four minor children. Reportedly, the guardian had recommended that Kroy undergo anger management therapy.
Zolciak Also Previously Had To Go Through Court-Ordered Therapy To Main Custody Of Her Children
Objections were also raised against Kroy continuing to have primary custody, claiming that severe issues continue to come up during Kroy’s watch. Kim also alleged that Kroy is unwilling to share information with her about the kids.
This filing comes out after Kroy was awarded temporary primary custody after claiming that Kim was neglecting the kids. For her part, Kim denied these claims and even alleged that Kroy had gotten unnecessarily physical with the kids at times. At this time, the court had yet to issue a ruling concerning the recent filing.
At this time, Kim and Kroy share legal custody of the kids. However, Kroy appears to have the final say on issues like religious, educational, and medical decisions outside of emergencies. Last month, Kim also saw her custody limited and reinstated following court-ordered therapy.
